I'm thinking it may be a HD failure. My son will take a look at it in the next day or two. If it's a power supply, I have a spare.

Not a bad run, I got 9 years out of this machine! I was planning on building a new server this fall, just not there yet.

I got confirmation from my son, it is a HD failure. He's confident he can run data recovery and get all the games in progress off the failed drive.

It's just a matter of finding the time to do so. I think I have a spare HD or two around here.

I'll keep you all informed. I was planning on building a new server this fall, running Win Server 2012, since I have to take a class to learn how to run 2012. I figure it will be fun to have a server at home to tinker on. As a student I get all the software for free.
