I find attitudes like this very demotivating. I expect JP does as well. If you wanted to do something for this game that you love, I'm confident that the most efffective thing that you could do is to adopt a postive attitude. Edify other players and sysops. Edify the developer. I assert to you that nothing gets a developer more motivated than a fan. And nothing is more demotivating than an unconstructive critic. If you don't like something that he's doing, don't talk about that. Talk about what you do like. Positivity. People will be far more interested in what you have to say then. And hey, if that doesn't come naturally to you, then fake it. I'm not naturally positive and upbeat, but as the president of a company, I know the benefits of praise. Try it and see what happens.

This kind of reply would be more appropriate 2, maybe 3, years ago. What is truly 'demotivating', and precisely the cause for loosing so many players, is the half-donkey'd approach to managing the development of a game/product.

To continue in the spirit if 'political correctness', at the cost of acknowledging the reality of the situation is exactly like that scene from a certain movie in which an island is sinking, but the people refuse to believe it until a committee is formed to determine the correct question. Meanwhile they sing songs, as they begin to drown. Except Erick and his Viking crew, because they got the hell out of there; which what so many Trade Warriors have done.

Do you think if there were a public bug tracker, players would suddenly return? Because that's really the only thing missing from TW's project management. I think there should be a public bug tracker, but I don't think the lack of one is the main thing keeping players away.

I agree there should be a public bug tracker. It makes it so much easier for testers, and for the developers as well. Regarding whether it would stop players from leaving, I doubt it's a huge factor, but I'm sure it will have at least a little positive influence towards keeping people in the community.

Well, I guess Helix, Micro, Kavanaugh, and Toyman were wrong. BTW, I'm still not back, I just got temporarily bored. As Helix would say, Buh bye.

Yea I was way off, from a couple (2 or 3) months to "almost" 6 months.
