Without getting into the specifics, that JP is still out there and available by email. I had an interesting exchange with him and he has not disappeared or forgotten about us or this game.

All of us can either be part of the problem or part of the solution in terms of this forum and this game, both as Traders and people. I prefer to be part of the solution. Its a pretty simple choice after all.

Well, Trade Wars faces immense competition from MMORPG's such as World of Warcraft. Only the hardcore players like you guys keep it going.

As soon as Weapon M is a little more polished, I'm going to start pitching it to CS teachers as a fun way to introduce students to event-driven programming. Just think... one classroom would double the size of the active player community.

Not everyone likes MMORPG's.

I think the niche' that TradeWars has is the user side scripts. I believe this game has launched many a programmer, including your's truly.

But, we all have R/L commitments that interfere with our gaming, including JP. I know he would like nothing better than to have a major financial backer to take this game to the next level, but until that time, we've all gotta eat.

Look at the language you used, its hostile. I am neither demented or a politician. You might be a lot of things but "persona non grata" isn't one of them. The problem isn't the server version you like. So you don't like v2, so what? Its not like there was code in v1.03b that forces you to upgrade to v2.

The real question is: Can you get behind TradeWars? We both know the answer to that is 'yes'. I run both v1 and v2. I don't sit around arguing with myself about it. Conflicting views abound on this forum. We don't have to agree but we should be able to get along.

And, I for one am tired of the personal attacks being used here when one person disagrees with another. I am not saying I haven't done it, I am saying I don't want to do it any more.

Here are the fact's:

1) You single handily took control of a guild and summarily destroying the same guild which you had chosen not to be a part of, disappearing in not 1 but 2 tournament's you registered for and even start one (Fire). Not out of genuine concern but simply because your ego could not handle it. I'll leave it at that but as a simple reminder think of the emails you sent my way after.

2) I could link dozen of threads of you doing nothing but attempting to incite the crowd, arguing with D and the likes. Attempting in the ever snarky ClassicTW way to piss people off simply for the joy of pissing them off.

3) You were removed from moderation capacity for abuse of power

I'm not buying what your selling, you can continue with the act for whatever ulterior motive you currently have. I asked about the multiple personality thing because you've done this before; Cern.

Even as your current persona you go from being the Abuser to Victim in the flash of the eye, ever the definition of a troll. The next part of this cycle is you disappear and show under a new name later once you realize that the same people you trying to sell the "new" Helix to are the same people you pissed off before and not buying your baloney.

1. This is an opinion and isn't based in entirely in fact. Suffice it to say I played the 1st tourney under Xanos, the second, (fire) had nothing to do with TW and everything to do with RL. And I still have access to the emails too as I am still an administrator to the boo mailing list.

2. I bet you could point to many threads too but again the "why of it" is actually your opinion and not factual.

3. While this may be an assumption shared by many, again it is not factual. I was removed as a moderator, thats a fact. Why i was removed is no more than an assumption on your part (and absolutely incorrect by the way).

While I am just as human as the next guy, and as such, just as fallible. I am not your opinion of me. I prefer to focus on that fact, not on your assumptions. So to quote SG: "Time tells all tales". The only way to see if you are correct is to stick around and find out.
