Funny how you get that feeling a split second too late of, "I didn't claim that planet" as the land command activates. The message comes across:

You rush to an escape pod and abandon ship...
Your CEO Starship has been destroyed!

You end up in an adjacent sector with some ticked off aliens and your only way out is through the planet that you just invaded and didn't claim. Ah well,

Maybe you'll have better luck with a different ship!

Stupid mistake, but funny as hell to me that I made it.

It happens all the time. All of us have made those moments at times...I've done the following...

1) Tow furb to red then forget to drop tow lock on way back to SD. I've done this more than once.

2) Moving product from one planet to another - in an ISS. I could have swore I was in a colt only to find out I was still in my ISS. I started the script and walked away and came back to see I burned more turns than I should have and I was like - duh!

3) Leaving the planet without picking up figs. I do forget to reload figs on occasion, but I do so when I have none on me, especially after I was just sleeping in cit.

4) And I have invaded planets only to forget to claim them. I also have once invaded a player's planet, claimed it and thought that was it..problem was..I forgot to check the cit for any sleepers...there was one..and he came on just after the invasion, simply reclaimed the planet and drove it away with the remaining ore he had. I was like, Darn and duh - lol.

Crap happens.

Anyone else got moments like these to share?

Buy down a port in a colt but forgot you busted and only had 1 hold and walked away to get something came back to "0" turns and the buy down not complete... Oh yea I am sure this list could go on forever.

A small script to lift off my planet, photon into an enemy sector, land, attack with 280k figs using an ascian boat then det the planet with their entire corp sitting in the cit.
I've done it several times successfully using that script. Whooops! WTF? Oh crap. I forgot to clear the sector from my voids since the last moth. Hmmm... and no planet scanner on the ship. That really sucks. Got a new shiney pod when I blew my own planet.

I also can tell some stories about Alexio and Bud screwing up.

Yeah we've all seen and done our share of screw ups in a game. If you are of the right mindset, the screw up is something to laugh about after the initial shock and WTH did I do that for wears off.

I was invading either an L4 or L5 planet from adjacent - did the xport to the invasion ship, or so I thought, and away I went only to get the message" "Maybe you'll have better luck with a different ship!" -- I had xported into a pod and in my hurry to get the attack off didn't check my ship. On the positive side, I did remember to clear my avoid before making the attempt.... On the negative side, besides getting SD, Diz gave me a bit of crap about it since we were corped that game for a total noob mistake, but we both thought it was funny.

My worst moment was getting all excited and warping off to help a corpie under attack, we both got SD. the worst moment happened when I realized I was sd'ed while holding the bank.

Knew that I'd picked up a limpet, went to SD to get it scrubbed, didn't notice the message saying that I didn't have enough credits on me. Went back to my base, logged off, got invaded and killed.

Guilty on this too. Glad I'm not the only one - LOL.
