Was just reading alot of past posting and there is a lot of history to this game as we all know. Since you started playing whether it be before or after you left and came back to the game what is your favorite memory of t-wars?

Mine would be on a local BBS here in Fort Wayne. Online at the Fort to be exact. When I first started playing had no clue what I was doing. Getting blown up everyday by my step-father because I would kill his fighters. Same thought today. Still don't know what I"m doing and I'm still getting blown up =-)

I'd have to say any time I've gotten together with players in R/L. First with some local players from our dial-up BBS. Then the first TWCon in Las Vegas. It's one thing to post in the forum, but quite the other to be up all night talking about a "game" with good friends you've just met but have known for years!

Where's the next TWCon going to be?

Mine would be from another BBS in Fort Wayne called The Dwelling Place. I used to corp with the sysop's daughter Ebi and my cousin Cool Hand. We won some and lost some. Then one day I got a copy of Slice's War Manual off FidoNet, learned what SST was, and suddenly nobody else on the BBS wanted to play anymore...

Yeah, and now we have facebook... if only I'd known! LOL

Maybe next one needs to be in Kansas, and maybe we can sweet talk JP into attending.

My favorite TW memory is beating both KB and D in a deathmatch edit that D made himself hosted by Navhaz. The thread is still in Open Discussion somewhere I believe. Not bad for an average player. Since then D beat me in another of his DM edits (this one started with full L6 planets and full ships) Too bad I can't get him for a rematch since we are now 1 and 1.

You have beat me once also, when I was under a different alias - it was a pretty good game. You made the best of a mistake I made at dock of all places.

My best memories come from losses because that is where I learned the most. I got torped along with my corpies in our base fairly soon after I came back to the game. The corpie was eprobing and it led them straight to us. Dr Doog (Dizturbed), Marduk and maybe Rofellos smoked us.

I've lost to K3, Res and a few others who are long gone.

Favorite memory is being on Homicide Inc with Heatsink, Moose, Elite and Vortek. Also posting a bunch of trash talk in the forums. Still waiting for a rematch from Demon, Sgt Payne, and thier noob haha, a cool memory was when I corp'd with Xide and watch him play, OMG could he, taught me a few things too. I am now ready to make more memories, hope to see you all in game at one time or another, will even try my hand a turn games once in a while. Good Luck Ya'll

I'm amused that Helix regards his 1 win against me as so memorable. Good job blowing the dock before I made it back in to stock up Helix.

Now my most memorable moment was on Sing's server in a Poker Run tournament. LoneStar was on the other corp, and I knew from playing with him that he is very agressive. We got in the same sector with L6 planet and I had a plock on a dead end sector with another one of our planets in it, and I had Spider running citkill on that planet. As soon as LS started to try to invade the planet I was on, I warped it to the trap sector and LS's script locked up because he was expecting his planet to be there when he lifted. Spider got the pod and the kill and didn't know it until the next day because he was afk. That game was a lot of fun, or corp was Me (Big D), Uncle Sam, Desert Fox, Spider, Magnum, and Kane.

For me it has to be playing the Call To Battle edit on alienbase. There were alot of players who came and went in that game over the years, and alot of good games.

I dont think I could pick just one.

Alienbase CTB my favorite also. Greatly enjoyed fighting you there over the years and towards the end, corping with you.

I'm not one to retain the details of every game I've played. But I used to come home after school and play on the local Michigan BBS (don't remember the names) and I got blown up often because I just liked to trade. Then in the military I moved to Guam, and I can guess what server I played on there! But then in college afterwards, I would come in and play, but I'd gotten more sofisticated with my index cards keeping track of assets and such. Then my friends came over and loved it so I had to fight to get to use my own computer!
Honesly my best memories were after I started to host. I had quite a following when I first brought my system up. It grew from a simple site, to one that always had 20-30 players online. Then my website and forums. It was a great social game. I loved talking with all of you and doing my best to give the players what they wanted.
I honestly miss the old timers, and the chats we had.

If I have to narrow it down to a simple game I think the most memorable was a game I played with Rev, and I don't remember the rest of the team except we brought in another old timer, Dr Who to play. We got spanked, but it was a fun game, and I'm in contact with the Doctor to this day.
