The only difference between my games are turns, Gold bubbles or not, and number of days turns are banked. A & C - stock universe. B & D have Gold bubbles.
G is my first 10k universe game, same settings as the others, stock universe. This one is really pretty popular right now.
With exception to the Lobby, that also has stock planets that go L5 in one day. Just so you can get a "feel" for the types of delays I'm using before committing to playing a game here.
Emulation:
Input - 56k modem
Output - 1Mps Broadband
Latency - 150
Delays:
Ship - 250ms - Basically default no delay
Planets are on a full 5 sec. delay
Photons - 1 sec. delay
Crimes - 2 sec. delay
MBBS Mode combat odds with Mega Rob turned off.
Photons on a full 10 seconds. Manual players can use them

Oh, and in all my games except the Lobby, the Ferrengi have a beefed up home world with a very nice bank if anyone can cap it. When I started, they were also Gold Ferrengi, but I found them to be a bit too aggressive for the types of players that like these settings. So just your standard Ferrengi, but with a planet that will take some work to capture.

I have also prevented anyone from seeing the CLV real-time from the game menu, those refresh at extern. And you must fully log into the game before you can read the daily logs. Those are on a one hour delay from outside the game, real-time inside.
Oh yeah, and the re-log penalty is a full 20 min.
I run old fashioned turn and time limit games.
