I doubt very much I'll play at this server again. Enough said, I think everyone gets the picture.

Tied Game or the Enhancements made that keep his games ending in a tie/rule violation? I could go on but really it was easier to just walk away.

I don't understand, he's running v1.03, and you didn't mind being a Co-Champion in the past, you still fly the banner. ;)

There was no co-champion. I was the clear cut winner of this game, but the real problem isn't the recognition of the win in this game, but what happened in the rebang. As Toyman said, I could say more, but it's easier to just walk away. The guilty party knows who he is.

This argument is confusing. If nobody alerts me to a game as being finished and the game has been running for 6 months or more and where the players have stopped coming into the game, all I can do is look at the players who have had the most recent participation and also look at the number of completed planets in the game. At that point, I'm forced to make a decision regarding who won, or who tied.

If one player has destroyed all the other players and captured most of the planets, then I consider that a win. Anything else would indicate a tied game or stalemated game.

Since I am available on ICQ as well as private messaging on Classictw, there's no reason why I cannot be reached for a game-over decision.

Hope That Helps,
Sage

All I know is that whenever Big D whines about something, it automatically biases me in favor of whatever he's whining about. But let's look at the facts.

If the victory conditions were not clearly stated ahead of time, that's on Sage. If they were, and Big D failed to achieve them but thinks he should have been declared the winner anyway, that's on him.

Seems pretty straightforward to me. Were these victory conditions made clear before the game? And did Big D destroy all the other players and capture most of the planets?

There needs to be a drama blog called the TradeWars Inquirer.

Actually its just funny, Big D sneaked into a stale 60-80 day old game, played for 22 days (unopposed) to get a start, announced he was a great TW player (called New Player...) and was now willing to take all comers.

So what we have to look forward to is D playing at UTW under a different name pretending to be new to get an edge. And more blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...

So why would you be concerned about what I do, or what anyone else does on a v1.03 server? Aren't you a dedicated v2 supporter or was that a blatent lie like we've heard many times from you before?
I guess your TWA site won't be of much use if JP replaces the TWA structure like he's planning on doing.

The only time we're concerned is when you come around and talk trash about it.

It's unlikely that existing TWA support will be removed from TWGS. And even if it were, the archive of TWAs would be a valuable resource to anyone wishing to import them into a Web-based botlink agent.

The common theme of your posts seems to be that v2 players' world is falling apart. It's not. The game has never been better.

I'm glad you think the the current TWA's are a valuable resource since I've helped provide Tradewars with the following edits:
1) Star Trek
2) Sub Zero (Along with GOP and Res Judicata)
3) ICE
4) Dungeons & Dragons
5) Hell on Earth
6) The Birds Nest
7) Poker Run
8) Animal House
9) Star Wars (Along with Grazzhoppa)
10) Top Gun
11) Lethal Lotto (Along with Jackel)
12) The Underground
plus I few more that I can't remember the names of.

In response to the 2nd portion of your reply, I don't think v2 players world is falling apart, they can play any game they prefer, I just prefer to play the real Tradewars "classic" game instead.

Some very good edits too, and some of the more balanced edits in their original versions. SZ really only has one issue in its original form (at least what I saw as the original) and that was death delay being off. I think your edits and Vader's (also in original form) were some of the more enjoyable ones I played.

Hey man you still playing???

Been a while since I saw you in a game or in the forums. I hope all is well in your world.

I haven't played a serious game for over a year and haven't messed around in a game since last fall. Life requirements should be slowing down for me at this point in my life so I can relax and play, but evidently no one else got the message. I still check the forums from time-to-time to see what is going on. I can't remember the last new script I wrote - been too long. I've been toying with the idea of bringing my server back online as a v103 server (nothing against v2x).
