NOT! LOL

To grid or not to grid was Crosby's take on me simply asking for script writers to include in their "Public Scripts" the capability for players to choose to lay grid figs or NOT.

Even in a gridding game, there are reasons for leaving sectors and ports clear.

Once again, a plug for your topic, begging the legions of
public script writers to add a special toggle to not lay fighters.
This topic was actually started to try to find a decent strategic
reason to not lay a fighter in every visited sector.

We've heard two tactical reasons, hiding on a port and leaving
some 'dead space' to mark the advance of a new adversary.
Of the two, I like the sound of the second one better.

Not coming up with a decent reason to change public scripts
that I can see.

Love the graphic Kaus....but not giving up on the last word.

Kind of simple - if you want to grid - grid, if you don't want to grid - don't. Play the game you want within server rules, and don't let another player dictate how you play the game.

If you want options in a script so it won't drop fighters, add the option or ask someone to do it for a specific script. There are times when I don't drop fighters - like starting with 30 figs on my ship.
