Having you publicly bash the moderator, me, for doing my job just seems petty and petulant.

If you want to keep your threads open, then appeal to the people to stay on topic. Once they go sideways and drift away from the topic they are subject to being locked.

Could he have put it in PM sure, however he didn't. Possibly he put it out there so other members including me could chime in on how we view your specific style of moderation.

I'm quoting above because that in a nutshell is the problem IMO. Since when is it the job of a moderator at EIS to make sure "Open Discussion" topic's are streamlined and on topic?

I could agree with you in Scripts, Bangs, Etc.. But Open Discussion is just that. Maybe to avoid future issues we need a warning banner regarding threads being locked for running off topic within this forum, because that historically has not been the standard set by other moderators.

Open Discussions
Talk about anything on your mind, TradeWars or not. But please, post game playing/hosting questions in the appropriate forum, and keep the discussion civil.

Edit: Unless Helix disagrees with the subject of the thread or how it wanders.
