Has anyone put any thought into....
How XP and alignment are no more than tools used to cash. Experience points are basically meaningless as a way to keep score in TW2002. Alignment is no more than a tool used to cash a certain way and has no meaning in relation to good or evil, per say.

Quote: Experience points are basically meaningless as a way to keep score in TW2002. High exp is helpful robbing large chunks, plus trading is different dependant on exp. Plus don't forget the FedSafe threshold at 1000? Quote: Alignment is no more than a tool used to cash a certain way and has no meaning in relation to good or evil, per say Yet using high neg align to 'flip' your opponent in a solo game is an important strategy to deny the other cashing abilities? For that matter the whole 'stealing & robbing' is a basically evil tactic, taking something that you never pay for... What more meaning to you need? You getting philisophical recently?

I agree that align is a very useful weapon of sorts.
To nitpick, the exp threshold is 999, not 1000 for fedsafe. The fig threshold is 100 for overload/tow, contrary to the manyheld belief that it is 99.

It would be an interesting mechanic if you were to allow people with higher xp to buy goods at a lower price and sell them at a higher price- the justification being that you are a more experienced trader, and are able to get better deals. This would allow for a cashing blue to be more viable but giving up being fedsafe.

Do you mean how people don't act there "Alignment" where back in he hay day people did? Killers were typically red where blue usually meant good guys.

On top of everything already said, these are the details that make a true Trade Warrior tantamount to a Chess-Master --which I am not, just sayin.

Re: Has anyone put any thought into....
Before megarob went public, experience was necessary for Evil doing. It had a true purpose for gaining assets.
Now, it's just a tool to be manipulated.
Alignment is a "weapon" now, but not so mighty a weapon when mixed corps are in play.
If you want to "Score" a game for winning on a points system, exp./alignment should not weigh heavily. In this case you would want to score the assets and the kills, and give a negative score for times #SD#.
Is this what you're thining of?

THis is a basic red mechaninc, the lower your exp, the more money you will load onto a port for mega's. Works the same way for blues. You guy's are all slacking around here.
