Does anyone have an idea here?
We were playing a game at UTW and had been there for over 20 days. I listened to the other team of 4 complain their buns off about us. Then I find out that those players were actually more than likely 1 player. All 4 had different IP's all coming from the same address.
Here's the question does anyone know which one of us has access to that many IP's and computers?
Zip

Proxies are one way to do it but one can also take a laptop to several different wi-fi hotspots and use a different ISP number from each one.

Someone with enough free cash laying around to pay for 4 different IP's at the same address ??
More interesting is how you found out that the IP's were all different but coming from the same address.

Actually from what I've read about the latest version, TWGS actually sends every players IP to EIS now. So that's not completely true. Any data transferred via internet can be intercepted, and unless it is encrypted it is obtainalble information.

Re: Does anyone have an idea here?
UTW does not use the latest version.
And he is obviously avoiding the question.

Btw Magnum ='s Big D If he feels like challenging this fact, i certainly welcome a sysop to read my pm's from this player. You send more information to google, but if people are interested i could wireshark it to verify this with logs.

Re: Does anyone have an idea here?
Code: GET /index.php?title=Special:ActivateTWGS2&command=validate&version=2.19&code=*trunacated*qS5wUXL_lkEOA0lDYtRpVkBAG4fYQC&sitename=Dark%20Dominion&encrypted=1 HTTP/1.1
User-Agent: TWGS/2.19 host: wiki.classictw.com Connection: close
HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Fri, 24 Feb 2012 01:55:22 GMT Server: Apache X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.9 Vary: Accept-Encoding X-Vary-Options: Accept-Encoding;list-contains=gzip Connection: close Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: application/xml; charset=utf-8 2a
<xml><invalid>0</invalid></xml>[TWLive:OK] 0
So let's see, checks to see if I'm a valid server and makes wiki.classictw.com (likely his backend) aware I'm online. Will the invasion of my privacy ever end? /sarcasm
