You, and most of the players on my site know I'm not a fan of changing edits after the game has started. The same as I'd not upgrade to (fictional) V2.14 if JP released it mid game. I did change the delay, because it had been stated long before game released that I'd run no delays. I did NOT change the colo situation as some stratagy may have already been put in place assuming those colo's would be on Tera. I simply know to check it next time before game opens.

The 5 min relog penalty is only going to penalize their in-game time. They don't log into the game to gleen info from the High Scores List (CLV)

In General Editor H, Opton 5 - High Score Update mode, your options are:

0) On demand
1) At Extern
2) Hourly
3) Half-daily

They have scripts that monitor the CLV screen from outside the game at the High Scores List. Their scripts allert them to enter the game whenever certain things happen, scores change, alignment changes, ships change, corps change... when they know there's activity, then they come in.

The average "Joe" playing this game, comes in, runs their turns / 3 hours, and logs off. These guys coordinate monitoring. This is why Vid loves to play TL games, he uses this script to easily dominate. This is a private script, not publically available.


Turn these options off, and even my simple brain can see ways to still circumvent the game to see who's online and monitor the game. May not be as "time efficient" but it's doable.

I suppose you could say that it's not fair to fix a bug mid-game, but that's not the same as changing settings. No setting should change as a result of any update. But, for example, if a player is dropping from a planet when another player enters the sector, that would stop. So look at the revision list and decide, but it's usually a good thing to update right away.

Yea but I am pulling the BBS Name I will change that. Since I can't see what his players are using I wrote it for mine and I typically don't allow for Aliases. New version will be sent in a couple minutes.

The New version has been sent to RP. It will now show the in game name.

Then we come here and complain... So how is the right wa to kill someone in this game... A newbie like me need to know the etiquette..

There was a time limit for a reason, log in play turns, log out. Seems simple enough to understand. I was not complaining, I just said I didn't care for the tactic and I left. For me it is log in, play my turns and search for people using my 3 hour TL and leave. If people are that hell bent on winning to monitor a game 24/7 I say congrats, but I have better things to do with my time.
I have scripts that do the same thing that I wrote, but just like a SS crawling script I wrote I don't use them. TL exist for one reason, keep people from being in the game 24 hours a day!

The funny thing is, even with the monitoring, and logging them in, and killing you, it doesn't really mean they are at the keys. But that's a subject for another thread!
