anyone notice with the new version of twgs that a corpie riding on planet with jump off into sector.. randomly??

That was fixed in 2.11, what version/server/game did that just happen in?

v 2.11 according to the OP.

The person jumping off planets.. seems to just "appear" at command prompt.

From a corpmates view... you get a message that says " xxx exits the citadel"

From the persons jumping off.. there is nothing. Suddenly you are just at command prompt.

I know what you mean, please send JP details of server and game number this is happening in.

Question, are the persons jumping off planets online or off? I've only seen this happen when you're trying to ride the shields, the rider lifts or jumps off the planet when you arrive in the new sector. When the corpies are offline and parked in the citadel, I've never had any of them jump off, and I planet trade all the time with 2-3 corpies in the citadel to swap ships with.

New message? Is planet delay enabled in that game?

There was a known bug that caused any player on a planet to drop off, but as far as I know it's fixed. Can you easily repro? If so, can you provide a cap?

new message is:

"Your scanners indicate that [Planet Name] is no longer in this sector!"

you get this message every time the planet is moved.

Im sitting on planet
someone else moves the planet
we get the new message
now we are at command prompt. (no exit to planet prompt.. just straight to sector)





not sure about a delay.. I doubt its on though. I see no difference.

John I created 2 player and a planet, placed both players on the planet, moved to the adjacent sector. Both player move with planet but second players end up in sector above planet at Command Prompt.

Ok, I verified that it's still a problem. Ugh. I know it was working. I guess I'll fix it again.
