But see if you fubar those, then people just switch to more aggressive gridding. You can't stop it, kiss your base good bye.

And the point is those settings will only be used in games that are regulated or builders types.

I'm a fan of ZTM and graphic maps, I won't be playing games with this setting turned on, why should you?

Apparently there are some sysops who are asking for more than just the pace settings in Z.

There's at least one sysop who posts here who things I play too aggressively or exploit the game because I can. I respect his "vision" for the games he's creating and the players he hopes to attract, so I no longer play on his server.

Just because you/we can does not mean you/we should. This all boils down to respecting the wishes of the sysop, and sysops are asking for hard settings to prevent the type of play they don't want on their games.

Thats one opinion and everyones got one ... if you cap the verbal fair co-operative facts to assist in some aspects of the game great ... otherwise it`s just opinion and that varies house to house!

I share most of Cruncher's attitudes and opinions and like her, quit playing a game a few months ago because the Sysop had at times remarked that my style was unwelcome; entirely the Sysop's prerogative.

I am amused that many do not get it. They think that those like us are anti script. I write and use scripts.

I dislike those who use scripts to blow away newbies (which category now includes retreads).

It stops the retreads returning, and guarantees newbies will prob play no more than 5-10 minutes, ever. What a rush for the script kiddies!
