Running the Sentinel script in TWX, I noticed something odd... V'Ger (who was at the TWGS menu and not in the game at the time) was gaining experience and alignment... Not sure of the cause, but the CLV and # show that he is not in the game, he is #SD#, and yet, gaining exp and ali... He started at 266/51138... Currently at 293/51165 and still going...

This is in the HHT, so it is running the Beta... (figured that part might be important)

It almost looks like his auto-relog has the wrong password, and each time it tries to log him in, the game is giving him his 1/1 bonus...

Could he be gaining exp/aln from actions of others or aliens in the game? Are we certain there's a bug here?

I'm not sure what was going on then. Vger might know, although it is possible that he had no idea it even happened. I don't remember having aliens in the HHT way back then, Sing or somebody else should know for certain.

No aliens in that game, he was #SD# and coming back in if I recall... we thought it was just some bug related to entry. It was an early version of the beta.
