Guess your tag line would be included in that, but it’s more your ongoing stated point of view as recently as a few post ago and even then I’m still not saying you need to use scripts or not. Oh we get it. You don't like AFK attack scripts being used. Soooo find a server where the sysop bans them and go play there. Unfortunately for you, there probably won't be many players, and more than likely very poor competition. I have a feeling that's what you are looking for anyway. Good luck, with a game like that, you might be able to win one.

It's not about winning. It's about actually playing the game instead of watching a bot play it for you.

Bot's can't play for you.

The only advantage a bot has is to allow a corp to work together better. Bot's have no advantage for a solo player. Would you like to play me one vs. one and see if the absense of bot usage make the game any more enjoyable for you? I promise, I'll be at the keys the entire game, which will be about an hour before you are out of the game.

They have bot wars don't ya know.. This one goes off laying a grid to deny access to the other. The other is running an AFK pdrop/citkilla combo and the humans are off doing what humans do while their machines play the game for them.

Lord help the newbie or old returning walking in on this game in progress.

All I can say is find a game that suits you. The deep end of the pool can be treacherous.

But honnestly, I can understand the desire for an "old school" tw game. I'm a nostalgic, and when I play old games, I like to spend the extra effort needed to have them look and feel exactly as they used to be.

For avoidance of doubt, I'll hoist my flag to the masthead - I have nothing whatsoever against script usage, I have been writing and using scripts to play TW for many years.

I have nothing against AFK scripts being used against me. I dont use them, but thats just because I have no interest in my programmes playing for me; absolutely no problem with people doing it to me.

Its dumb to do it to newbies and retreads, Really stupid to reduce a player base that is mebbe 10% of what it was 10 years ago, if that even.

One should writte a smart AFK attack bots that chat with newbs instead
