Unread post How do you edit how many sectors
Hello all,

I am trying to learn to edit in the new TWGS. How do I edit this line.

Maximum players 200, sectors 1000, ports 400, planets 200.

Also how can I set up my router so that players can find my games, when I am ready to start up.

Thanks

JamesTKirk

OK I figured out how to set the sectors. What is the yellow line as I move through sectors?

Sectors and ports are set at bang. What yellow line are you referring to?

As for the router, you need to research "port forwarding" and "dynamic DNS."

You need to setup DynDNS so ppl can follow your IP. Then you need to setup port forwarding in the router to point to the TWGS server.

I can clear up the mystery about the yellow bar. It's a progress bar. It only shows up when there's a delay longer than half a second, and when you have animation turned on. It's meant to clarify that something is indeed happening when you're using long delays, like the long Interdictor move delay.

It will stay up reliably, the yellow bar you can shorten or lengthen the time it displays for (how to warp 1 sector to the next) from the -Z- Timings editor in tedit. Its some pretty advanced stuff in the timings, you may want to get to know the new tedit a bit before tweaking the timings.
