Hell JP, dam. laff. Hold the 1st annual STFU Crunch Beta test tourney. Make it a BYOC with draft if needed...laff. We need a tourney, and she seems to insist its a beta test. I will see what I can do to get GZ to play. If you are interested, let us know the start date, and the game info.

On twgs.classictw.com it IS a beta test. LOL

I'm game-op on Swampbbs, you want me to bang you a tourney? More than happy to! Get me one of SG's TWA's, oh and you know this is a MBBS server, so you have to go through the MBBS front end to get to the TWGS games.

Before he will allow us to use the Gold editor, we need to beat on the games that are already open now.

If you just want something to do, come jump in any open game on twgs.classictw.com and see if you break something.

Most of the time, I'm just running trading scripts AFK. I have asked beta testers to follow a "catch-N-release" policy. No need to make anyone #SD# while we're in the testing phase.

SubZero is full speed, Sandbox is emulating 56k modem, default on pacing. Yesterday I upped the colo regen on Sandbox so there should be plenty of colos to play and build with.

Since this is a beta testing game. Is there a way to up a ships transporter range without rebanging the game so we can test the wsst function in the game.. or make the ISS both for good and evil? Just a thought?

No, both of those edits need the Gold editor, this is just a stock game, unlim turns.

I could go ahead and rebang that SubZero game with Gold features at this point. I'd like to expand the test to include Gold aliens, etc. Should I do that? Or open another game?

Something else I could do here is open up a slot or two to anyone who wants to host a game. There are so many people who are better game hosts than I would be. That's why SG was running this in the first place.

We haven't heard from Bud on his SG Tribute game, but even though the beta is still in testing mode, I wouldn't mind seeing a Tourney style game there. Time and Turn Limit, some of SG's wild edits. :)

One sysop feature I'd like to have is the ability to bang a game with upgraded ports. That would make it much easier for players starting to get started by port pair trading without hitting a lot of other players figs.

Example:
Starting port upgrade percent? ___ (0 to 80)

I used to have a server side script that did this but it was time consuming to run it, and I think it was made for zoc.

Talk to V'Ger. He has a TWX script that he uses in his Ice Builders game that upgrades ports.

As a general rule, there are lots of these kinds of server-side scripted features that I'd like to get added at some point. Not before this release, though. I'm out of time :)
