Ground Zero will be bringing a corp, I'm just not sure how many yet.

Do we have a final decision on the start date and edit?

We definitely have a corp together. We will need a link to the edit that will be used and a start date and time. We also need at least a week after we get this information to prepare.

Edit: Our corp would prefer pirates if that decision hasn't been made.

Why do you need a week to prepare and know the exact edits? Geeze guys, let's just have fun and all jump in together not knowing, and figuring out is half the fun.

That would be fine if no one that were playing in the game had played that edit before. I'm pretty sure no matter what edit is chosen that someone has played that edit at least once if not multiple times. That creates a bit of an advantage to those persons don't you think?

Which brings to mind, with all of the infinate combinations of settings alowed why play the same edits time and again? Variety is the spice of life!

Personally, I would not go enter a Pool tourney if I didnt know if it was 9 ball, 8 ball, 1 pocket, straight pool, 7 ball, snooker, golf, or one the hundreds of other games first, and understand the specific house rules that govern that specific tourney. But, hey, to each his or her own I guess.

All I want to know is if this tourney is going to happen or not. If it is, I'd like specifics about it, if not, I'll stop trying to put a corp together for it.

Definite start time, place, edit, corp size, turns, sectors, etc. would be valuable to know.

Shaking head... there's just so much about how the game is played today that makes it so much easier. The game is easier, playing scripts is not.

For me, figuring stuff out is a big part of the fun for me, and I do like to be surprised! To use your pool anology not only do you know the game, but every move it takes to win is fully scripted before the game begins.

Anyhow, I expect to be spending a fair amount of time in a pod or #SD#, but I'll have fun!
