I don't think that he meant it as a deflamatory statement. I think he's more discouraged about sysops not having the means to set up a way for newer players to get started. The game is what it is, and players need to learn how to survive to compete. I could put a rule in place that says no invasions or player vs player killing, but I just don't have the time to enforce such rules so I won't do that.
What we need is a way to edit start up planets to players that have citadels, and also be able to edit the planet flags like amounts of fighters, shields, and product. That is basically the only thing that needs changed in the present version of TWGS.
Anyone want to take on the job of making a server side script to do that?
