It was a edit off Ultimatetw.com I'm not sure if it was a sage original or not. However, it was the friendly builder(s) game. The first one cosisted of the Imperial Battlestar edit. Second was a Star Wars edit. Each game had 20k sectors and 40k turns. Curious if anyone has these edit(s) or has something similar. I know there are a few players out there that like the high turn builder games mutual combat sort of stuff...

Thanks in Advance!

I believe the Battlestar was used in one of UTW's signature edits - maybe 150k figs on the ship? I don't know the specs for the edit though. Even knowing the ship and planet specs, you would need to know the cit progression times and the rest of the T-edit information in order to recreate it. A player can come very close in getting the information by playing the game (cit progression) and the various sources of information that the game provides.

The Star Wars edit may have been a modified edit.

I have a .xlsm spreadsheet that contains all of the game information available from the main menu prompt ([Bigbang], [General], [Startup], [Settings], [Costs], [Universe], [Tournament], [Dynamic]) as well as the planet specs for 4 of the custom planets that were in the edit that Klepto is talking about. It also has all of the ship info that is available from the stardock, except for the descriptions (and does anybody besides myself actually read those anyway?) I also have a recent Swath database dump of that game in .xml format that may also contain info about the rest of the planets.

I'd be more than willing to email the spreadsheet and database dump to anyone who would be interested in hosting this game. I can also convert the spreadsheet to an older version of MS Excel with or without macros if needed. I can also probably get a database dump from TWX if that would e useful.

I miss playing it, but it seems that Sage and U.N.Owen have given up UTW. :( It was a fun, laid back way for me to relax after work.

Anybody???

Y-City thank you for stepping up the to play it's truly welcomed. I have e-mailed UN Owen hopefully he has the edits on his computer. If not maybe we could discuss a friendly builders game. HiTech has some of the ships edits. I do know the game had Ferregnal in it maybe we could throw in a few aliens after 30 days or something to spice it up a little bit. Who knows.. Let you know when I hear something =-D

Thank you Y-City, but I'm already playing PM and email tag with someone else at the moment, so we may soon have a host. If you would like the info for your site, just let me know what kind of format you need a spreadsheet in. I run MS Office 2007 currently, and I can export it to earlier versions of MS Excel, as well as OpenOffice formats easily enough.

Still waiting to hear back from the person I sent the files to... In the meantime I will be also sending Destro the info first chance I get since Y-City seems to also be interested...

Y-City has a building game up, and although it is nothing like the one that was on UTW, it still might be fun if a certain player in there starts playing by the rules and stops blaming his scripts for breaking said rules...

He has been spoken too :) I hope to see the edits of battle star edit up and running.... I think it's amazing how there are so many edits and you can find them anywhere. However, when it comes to a specific edit everyone is QUIET..... :)

He must have been spoken to very recently... He once again had SD blocked with figs and mines, and by my count he has figged 579 sectors in the uni... Considering I only have 15.19% explored currently (3038 sectors) I'm guessing the real count is much higher...

Considering not very many people that I know of play building games, I would presume that a lot of servers don't wish to host them... Supply and demand and all that... The person I've been talking to has been through PMs and emails, which is why I haven't named him... Granted, he never requested anonymity, but being a very private person myself, I figure if he wants to announce that he's working on it, he will... Also, as I said, Destro from Y-City has expressed an interest, so I will be sending him the info as well... Although I hope he has access to a Terra regen script, because in his current building game, Terra is pretty much empty...
