 ClassicTW Star Trek Role Play (Game Z)
Welcome to the Star Trek Role Play *BETA* Game starts at 9pmEST (-5) Monday 12-6 Game is being hosted on The Official EIS TWGS server telnet://twgs.classictw.com:23 Game Z. (Thanks Guys!!) This is my first time creating a mod for TW, and hope I have made some interesting settings. Please join me in testing the build and provide welcome input on helping to balance the game. The game contains 76 Ships and 22 alien races. (Limited to 100 total aliens). You can see a chart of all ships and planets http://astro.temple.edu/~drhoads/twships.htm. Changes from stock have been highlighted in grey. I have made the blue ships more defensively powerful in an attempt to balance the game. Medium ships join the game in 15 days, heavy in 30 days and UBER at 45 days. I hope this provides different strategies for different ships at various points during the game. Alien homeworlds are powerful Eden class planets, which can’t be created otherwise in the game. I hope this encourages players to attempt to capture these planets. Game will rebang in 90 days, unless voted to bang earlier or later by players. I am not running any server side scripts. All ships/planets and settings are open for debate, as I want to make this game as fun as possible. Settings are as follows: Turns = 2002 Sectors = 30K Colos/day = 65535 Corp players = 4 Sector planets = 5 Ship delay = none Nav disperse = 20% Planetary Trade = 85% Clear Busts = 5 days Port Regen = 20% Turn accumulation = 5 Rob/steal delay = off Photons = 2 sec Radiation clears in 5 days. Planet construction times have been reduced: See below Let me know if there are other settings that you want to know about, and thanks for playing.

If photon duration is 0 then they are off....2 seconds is a good setting.

Ah.. ok, thanks Parrothead. I thought maybe you could just use them to knock out peoples turns at zero, but not invade planets. I will set them to 2 seconds.

I did not change build times, is that something that people like to see? Maybe I should adjust for when the heavy ships come into play?
Earth = 38 days to max Ocean = 36 days to max Mountain = 37 days to max Volcanic = 52 days to max
All Eden Class Alient planets are already max level. I really want to encourage capturing the eden class planets, but perhaps the build times should be lowered (at least to get to twarp stage). What would you like to see, but would still make you want to go after the Eden planets?

2 months to Build a level 6 is not going to get the players in Droves. That was all good in the 250 turn days but those days were gone before some of the current players were born. 10 days for a Volcanic is plenty for this style of game. In order to go after beefed up alien planets you will need some real assets and a mobile planet. Just a suggestion

How are these?
Earth: 1,1,1,3,1,4 Desert: 2,1,2,1,1,2 Ocean: 2,1,2,1,1,2 Mountain: 1,1,1,2,1,3 Ice: 1,1,2,1,1,2 Volcanic: 1,1,2,3,1,5 (the 5 can be reduced if people hate it, I was just going with my 25% change) Gas: 2,1,1,1,1,2

So what do you think would be a good winning condition for this game? I was thinking who (individual or team) owns the most eden class planets. There are 13 total. What do you think?
