It would be nice to have that option.
Very nice! That would help quite a bit. I'm getting too old to play against West-Coasties Just compromise and use the time zone where the sane people live - Central.

Easy enough to script to Activate / Deactivate but if it can be an option within the game and JP is willing then why not? Some Sysops would like to see this made available. Plus I would not want to shut all games down but having the ability to select one or the other offers more options for players and sysops.

I think he wants to run games for multiple time zones each opening and closing per zone.

 Re: High Scores Update
I intend to add a feature for setting a time to open a new game, and this feature shares a lot of the same functionality with that feature. I will work on both at the same time. But I don't intend to add those functions until after this is public. That's true of much of what we're discussing now. I don't want to keep changing and adding right now, I want the game to settle in to a stable state and get it out, then we can keep cranking on these things while people play the new version.

 Re: High Scores Update
So these toggle setting will be able to be viewed from the * screen correct?
Your not proposing on keeping players in the dark on the secret T & # menu setting right?

Any new settings should be in the * screen, so if I forget to do that, please remind me :)

Before we begin ... Quote: Any new settings should be in the * screen, so if I forget to do that, please remind me Death Delay On/Off is not in that menu yet. the podless ship settings are not there either , but maybe that one should be kept secret. And as you add the server activation on/off times , that too will need to be added. As a side note , the T-menu High scores are used by a robot script at stardock.com to show game info to those that use that method to post rebangs. Eliminating the H screen or its updates will have an effect on that site. my 2¢

Only if the sysop chooses to change the refresh rate will it effect the players. Is once daily H screen updates NOT frequent enough for a web site?
