It's funny how it is a scripts fault in the above statement, but yet you look what you stated earlier in the below statement.

Were you running a script(s) or not? If the later statement is true, they how can it be a scripts fault?

Actually any script error can't be the scripts fault anyway. A script can only do what the programmer tells it to do or not do.

OK, I logged into a new game to test this, there is a macro assoicated with Alt Q

<Create New Corporation>

Enter Corp name

That must be one of the preset macros with TWX, not one of my own. Because I was looking at the key entries and after the "Q" the key entries were NOT following my copied post.

There's much more to TWX than meets the eye. I was only shown to right click on the TWX icon in the tool bar to select scripts.

I was NOT running a script that I was aware of. But clearly Alt Q means something to either Zoc or TWX.

OK, that makes sence then. Sigh, this can be so frustrating... I"m gonna go eat some more turkey now. :)

Based on the following snippets that appeared in you original post. It looks like you pasted something from the clipboard into your Zoc window:

Computer command [TL=07:50:20]:[2534] (?=Help)? A

Enter your general announcement now [155 chars]
mong others. His edits and his rules may be noob friendly yet there are

Computer command [TL=07:50:18]:[2534] (?=Help)? A

Enter your general announcement now [155 chars]
n "old school mode". The only way to achieve an "old school mode" is to

Were you writing something in notepad or word at the time? I've done the same type of thing myself usually hitting ctrl-V thinking that I have a sector number in the clipboard only to end up pasting something else that I forgot I had copied to the buffer. The best thing to do when stuff starts zipping past on the screen is to hit the disconnect session button and hope you caught it in time.

I can tell you it isn't a good idea to accidently post script snippets into the game either...

It's something that Cruncher would like added to the beta. A button to make the game like it was in the 90's

Yes, very often I'll copy the post I'm replying to, type my reply in word then copy and paste it back here, particularly if it's a long reply or I just want to run it through spell check. I don't know how it is for you all here, but at some point the scroll bar here stops advancing as I type.

Not exactly. It's much improved really. If you want a trip down memory lane try playing TW here theswampbbs.net.

Old School Mode in my mind at least would return us to a time of playing the "game" before the game was simply a foundation for playing with scritps or bots.

More of a style of play rather than a setting or an edit. People actually sitting in front of their computers entering commands themselves and "playing" TW. Not scripting out your entire night's farming, or running a world trade script while you're off doing whatever. And certaintly NOT botting your corpie's turns. I'm sorry, that's duping to me.

Old school mode is horrible, boring, and a waste of time. Most of
us would not enjoy it. Only a tiny number of players would, and
because you're in that group you think everyone would. Those
people would be better spent playing farmville.

People still put in commands and play at keys. Nobody wins w/
a bot corp.

My point is script players won't like playing it, just as old school players prefer NOT to play against bots.

We'll be on opposite sides of the track so to speak, everyone enjoying the type of game they like. I'm just asking for choices.
