I know it's a little touchy subject due to what the game has done to this game. However, does anyone have it? I was watching some online trailers today and it kinda sparked my interest.
Thanks!
Comet, I play, and at one time had 13 accounts running. Yes its overkill, but it's a long story LOL. Not sure it can be said it's affected TW though. It's just TW grown up!
You have to pay almost $70 for SC2, and that would buy you a year of game time if you pay a year. It's $14.95 a month if you do monthly, which is reasonable for an online game. You can also pay for game time using the in game currency (isk) once you start making money in game so it's not coming out of pocket.
Eve is hard in some respects when you first start. You're character is unskilled, with not much money, and you have to have patience to get the skills and money (isk) do too much efficiently. I cheated in a way by trading characters until I got some with the skills I wanted and now sit rather pretty in the game, yet you can always dream for more.
There's no winning, yet a few have tried. Two corporations consisting of thousands of members and controlling large amounts of space have recently folded due to a single spy getting inside, and breaking down their defenses at key times. This allows smaller corporations to grow and try to hold that space that has recently been vacated.
There are also the markets, which work just like the stock exchange. Prices move every day, and are player driven. Players can mine asteroids to process into minerals to sell, or to use to manufacture other items to fit their ships, or sell for profit.
There are endless ship fits. Each ship type is a little different, and there are lots of ship types, and are totally configurable by the pilot. You can spend hours looking for the perfect fit, then have fun going out and testing it on some unsuspecting player
There's also the pirate aspect. Huge profits are made by pirates hitting ships with large expensive cargos, and blowing up their ship, and taking whatever product isn't blown up. They then in turn ransom it back to the previous owner, or sell it on markets.
It's a fun game in many aspects, and I think it’s a fair price to pay.
