I believe that is the fixed version. For kicks, here is the version I've been running since February on my Win7 x64 box, zipped straight from my C: drive:

TWXProxy.zip [470.1 KiB]

Size is different, but I used 7-zip this time. Again, that is just the executable, so replace your existing twxproxy.exe with the zipped one, and let us know if this resolves it for you.

I'll get us an Alpha build together ASAP, after you guys let me know if this resolves it.

Thanks,

Tried your file EP, but sorry to report I had the same results. It crashed after about 10 minutes.
I've noticed however that when twx crashes, the taskbar icon disappears, swath shows nothing to connect to, but in the taskmanager twxproxy.exe is still active. I have to manally shut down the program before trying again, or I'll have multiple instances of it running.

Thanks again.

Okay guys, I'm going to work on implementing the replacement file dialogs, but I'd like you to confirm that the crash that you are seeing in Vista and Win7 only occur if you open a file dialog... meaning you right-click the TWX tray icon and select something that brings up a window (like Load Script). For those of you still experiencing a crash, please try launching TWX, then using only command-line options to connect ($c) and launch scripts ($ss). If the crash is due to the dialog boxes, which I suspect, then TWX will not crash if you don't open a dialog.

Thanks,

That would be great Elder Prophet. I have to run my TWXProxy in VMWare that Thrawn set up because TWXProxy still crashes in Vista, even after trying the different fixes. And I did not use the icon in the tray to load scripts- I used the menu when I press the key to access TWXProxy menu in my telnet client. Sometimes it runs for 10 minutes and crashes around that time; other times it runs solid until I stop the script and launch another one.

But it will be nice to be able to run in Vista again. Thank you.
