Re: TWX and Win7 getting along yet?
I've been running that build of TWX on Win 7 x64 for months without issue. Give me some more info about the crashes you are seeing, and I'll see what I can do to fix it, so you don't have to go through all those hoops... at least not for Win7/Vista. The only known issue (known by me anyway) is the 5 minute crash after a TWX dialog is displayed, as in launching a script from the tray. Do some troubleshooting/trending, and let me know what you find.

EP, this is what I've been doing and for what it's worth, I only know how to start a script by right clicking on the TWX taskbar icon and select start script I'm running W7 Home Premium 64Bit version I start TWX I start Swath I log into a game, in this case it's been a game at UTW I've been starting MOMbot 3.1032 Recently I've been running WSST either the one built into MOM or using TurboSST Either soon after, sometimes 10 minutes later I get an error TWXProxy.exe has stopped working with options to check online for a solution or close the program. Problem Details read: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: TWXProxy.exe Application Version: 0.0.0.0 Application Timestamp: 2a425e19 Fault Module Name: TWXProxy.exe Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 2a425e19 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 000c867c OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 2527 Additional Information 2: 25274ec1084c81ea4c3c998cf20fd212 Additional Information 3: 0a4d Additional Information 4: 0a4dff03230ae9e5be1ab264dd9c787f After I close the program I get an application error which reads: Exception EAccessViolation in module TWXProxy.exe at 000C867C. The updated executable in my earlier post addresses that exact issue. After replacing your TWXProxy.exe file with the one attached, this shouldn't be happening. Can anyone confirm that they've replaced it, and still experience this issue?

Re: TWX and Win7 getting along yet?
EP, I deleted the old twx program, then dropped that updated one I downloaded into it, and it gave me the error withing 5 minutes. I'll try a reinstall and reupdate in the morning and see what happens again.

So we moved it into VMWare on an XP system and have not had problems since. But thanks for the effort.

Re: TWX and Win7 getting along yet?
OK EP, I wiped the TWX directory, installed a fresh copy, deleted the .exe file, applied your fix, input the game date all again, so the files were all fresh. Game ran for 3 minutes or so, then crashed as I mentioned before. I've managed to install things on an older laptop with xp on it, so I'm not down and out (unless the wife want's her laptop back) and I can be patient until you find a fix. I appreciate all your efforts put forth in TWX.

OK, just for giggles, how can I launch a script without opening the dialog window? The only way I've ever known to launch a script is to right click/start script. Is there another way? Maybe this will solve my issue. I'm just now reading the fine print,.. sorry EP

Re: TWX and Win7 getting along yet?
As Space Ghost said, press the key you have TWX Proxy set to activate the TWX Menu. For example if you use the $ key, then it would be like this:
$ --> activates TWX Menu s --> go to script menu s --> load script command tactical\planet_shields.100.ts --> name of the script ENTER --> press ENTER to start
Also you can press $, then press ? to get a list of the commands.

Re: TWX and Win7 getting along yet?
OK, I can navigate that,.. would require a complete re-think of how I sort my scripts as I see no way to access directories so everything has to be lumped into one directory unless I'm missing something. The good news is, I've loaded it up, entered a game and twx hasn't crashed in 30 minutes. However I've not loaded any scripts yet.

If you're using the right version, this should not be a problem. We traced the flaw back to the dialog box, and that should be fixed now. I'm not sure, however, if the version that's posted has that fix. We need a 2.05 alpha build so we can start fixing our scripts.

You should be able to assign scripts using the A~Z triggers or using hot keys as well.

Re: TWX and Win7 getting along yet?
Well, in testing, I was able to keep it running by avoiding the dialog box via the taskbar. I started mombot and ran it just as I did before, and it didn't crash. Sorry EP for the runaround as you say this is a known issue.
If there is indeed a fix for this other than the previously posted (in this thread) download by EP I'm all for it. Several have said that was supposed to fix the problem, but it didn't for me. Is it a current file?
