 Revolutionary New ZTM Routine
I have a new ZTM routine that I'm planning to make public soon. I'll wait to post the specifics about the routine, but suffice it to say that it is significantly faster than current methods, yet manages similar accuracy to a 6-Pass method.
I'm willing to implement datamining aspects, if there is a compelling reason to do so within the ZTM itself. Can you guys give me a datamining wish-list? What features, beyond speed and accuracy, would you like to see in a ZTM?

+EP+ Sweet. That is something I will be looking forward to. ZTMs have always been an interest to me. As for features, I really need the 7-warps displayed when found and either fltered as unexplored or marked as such.

 Re: Revolutionary New ZTM Routine
I'm wondering if the man who encourages people to release their scripts in TS form will do so as well note.. just trolling. not playing tw's anymore, so not really caring either way. Am curious about this new approach, but am (was), happy with my own ZTM script (which does display 7warps as they're found.) If you can read this text, you don't need glasses

 Re: Revolutionary New ZTM Routine
Yes, of course it will be released uncompiled.
What is the point of displaying 7-warp sectors as they are discovered? Any other must-have features? Do most people prefer ZTM'ing from the CIM prompt or the Computer prompt?

 Re: Revolutionary New ZTM Routine
Newer players might have difficulty getting to the CIM prompt on their own...

 Re: Revolutionary New ZTM Routine
I prefer the CIM prompt as it seems faster, but I've never really checked that. I also typically run a CIM to get "free" warp data.

 Re: Revolutionary New ZTM Routine
cim prompt please...so one may run from the shipyards, my favorite hangout.
The 7-warp-in sectors are frequently home to Rylos and Alpha Centari...if spit out on SS, corpies could go check 'em out while the ztm goes on uninterrupted.
I like the who's online window, a handy feature, which could be augmented with a 'title-watch' that can detect a player going blue to red or vise versa...
Lone-- I always wondered what use that zoom on my mouse was good for, thx!

 Re: Revolutionary New ZTM Routine
Looking forward to reading it, does it build off the routine in that BFS thread?

 Re: Revolutionary New ZTM Routine
If your asking which method .. cim or interrogation ? why not a prompt to pick one. This is what I like most about pro's I like cim to watch fed comms , but sometimes I like to hide on a port and do it interrogation mode. As for features .. Fast , fast and even faster .. oh and make coffee too

If that is your ZTM that you had in your script pack, we still use it faithfully. Works for what we require.

 Re: Revolutionary New ZTM Routine
Good info all, please keep it coming.
LS, what is a map checker? By CIM updater, you mean it begins by pulling a Warp Report? By Relog logic, you mean it can pick up where it leaves off?
Also, it would be nice to establish a baseline expectation of current ZTMs, for both time and accuracy. Would everyone agree that a 6-Pass + 1-Way ZTM takes about 6 hrs, 15 mins in a 20K, and misses maybe 10-20 warps? What about a 3-Pass + 1-Way run? And what about 6-Pass + 1-Way in a 5K?

And what about 6-Pass + 1-Way in a 5K? 6 hours in a 20k, give or take on lag and how well the map handles it. I've had maps that take less, and that take more, but 6 is an average. I miss about 5 warps on average w/ my ztm. I have never missed 20. 10 would at the high end. Generally, I look for found/plot efficiency. The first pass has the highest, with decreasing efficiencies over each additional pass. A 3+1 would take about 4 hours to complete. In a 20k, you can do a 2 pass plus 1-ways in about 2 to 2.5 hours. That's optimal, a single person can run PPT and then do a 2+1 for DEs before the first extern hits.

I don't know about a 6-way, but when I was testing proZTM4 I had the following results. Some will be slower due to connections. The bottom information is going through a Wi-Fi connection only to the server so I would guess between 5 1/2 to 6 hours on a 20k ZTM. Performance 20k Sub Zero Edit with 52595 Warps Started ZTM in Sector 1, with No Movement (CIM adavantage removed) Monitoring: Who's Online, Warps Found, 7 Warps-In (slows it down) Start Time: 17:04:22 Pass Time Required Warps Accuracy Elapsed Time Time 1 1:13:58 46183 87.808% 1:13:58 18:18:30 2 0:56:35 50088 95.233% 2:10:43 19:15:05 3 2:43:42 52471 99.764% 4:54:25 21:58:47 4 0:06:48 52589 99.998% 5:01:15 22:05:35
