I played for awhile last night till I ran out of figs and was trapped in starter ship against corp 1's grid.
The starter ship doesn't start with many figs and a grid will wear you down fast before you get enough credits for a holo scanner.

Thats cause of low starting creds , low starting holds and low amount of starting figs.

No problem .. I did what I could to find any problems I could .. and I found one ..

If you sit long enough (about 2-3 mins. maybe) , you get punched from game .. but not to the T menu , but to the Main menu.

That I think is something wrong.
I should have been put out of game to the T menu.

I was using Swath and twx , so the built in keep alive should have prevented that anyways ,
but I never seen a message for it.

I can respond to Vid's post with my results.

With a keepalive active, I remained in game when the Inactivity warning came up. With the keepalive script deactivated- after I received the 60 secs, 30 secs, 10 secs message- I was out of the game and back to the TWGS menu. I don't recall if the old TWGS did that or put the inactive user to the menu where you can press T to play, S for settings, etc. It's been so long and I always run a keepalive script. However, I did receive the Inactivity messages on my end properly when I was inactive.

Are there issues with having the game drop you to TWGS rather than to the intro menu? I vaguely remember having done that, but I can't find my notes on it.

The alien planet farming bug appears to be much worse. I popped a planet to cap an alien - we danced up and down claiming the planet a few times and then I did a planet display:

Planet #10 in sector 1228: 1228

I don't have an issue with it going back to the TWGS. From my perspective, if you are inactive and you return to the menu to press T, H, S, etc in-game, then you are taking up a node. At least if you are bounced back to the TWGS and are inactive, it will disconnect you, freeing up that node. Inactive is inactive- I like it when the player is bounced out of the game myself.

From my understanding and experiance , if it bounces you up to the Main .. then disconnects you .. that will spike your server upon the relog (twx will do that if set and most players use the auto relog).

If it were left to bounce them to T menu , they dont time off server and nothing has changed.

Its your software , do as you will.
If someone doesn't like it .. they don't have to upgrade right ?

Might be better to bounce them back to the First menu when you enter a game John (Press T to play, S, etc). It would diminish the relog attempts that get made. But this is only the response of two SysOps. Would like to know what the others think.

Don't worry, I'll be getting to the alien bugs very soon. As soon as I get the top priority bugs addressed I'll work on aliens.

k, sounds good. I've logged out of both games. I removed all figs around dock, fed, and the MSLs, but still have a 58.23% grid that someone needs to tear up in game A. Not sure what the grid is in Sub Zero is, but I am blue.
