I mean "DOWN with SPEED SKATING" just does not give me an emotional reaction.
But I guess my brothers to the north have more energy. I have to make sure I don't get sick because right now I have Republican health insurance (die quick waiting with the mex's in the emergency room) This is "open discussion" not "smack" please keep you racist remarks to yourself. You seem to be confused. Calling a canadian a canadian is not racist nor is refering to a mexican a mexican racist. In fact only national titles were used period. Terms like Anglo-North American / Native Canadian / French Canadian would be a racial tag. As would terms like Castilian / otomi / latino would be racial tags for my southern brothers. You seem to have the same issue as "W" ...dumb as dirt.

You seem to have the same issue as "W" ...dumb as dirt. Calling a Mexican a Mex is being racist. I'm not Mexican, but this isn't the place for it. Take the term homosexual for instance, I'm pretty sure fag, queen, queer, or homo would be considered inapropriate tags wouldn't you agree? Besides, now we have a member of a minority for president. How can you lower blue collar wages more than that?

Point one..your wrong..I am from Connecticut. That makes me a yankee. This is not racist. Sorry you have the wrong dog in this fight. Point two..the skin color of POTUS is not relevant to the job description. I am sure your a Bush lover "D" so you should burn your voter card and never vote again.

(Maybe yesterday now) Scared of a few flakes of snow?? Any excuse for a day off work me thinks lol Cant wait for the winter games to start. I enjoy watching them. Not that Team GB win many medals but stll great fun. Well the Federal government has been off work now since december, because harper does not believe in democracy. The guy was elected into a minority government, if he can't make it work he should be sent back to alberta with a bag over his head. The Provincial government of Ontario did go on break the other day and there was alot of media coverage over it, as the media really has nothing better to do. They went on break because it is mandated that anytime a government wants to deliver a throne speech(otherwise known as the annual budget), they have to take a break in the session first. This one's really more about Harper and his con's pointing the finger at a liberal government screaming: "see, they do it too", without revealing all the true facts about the situation. And Thrawn, no I'm not going anywhere near vancouver for the next little while, I'll enjoy the games from right here. looking forward to the opening ceremonies today, all the spectators around the practice sessions had one word to describe it: Spectacular.

Nod. It's pretty hectic and busy. Takes me a while to get from the valley to Whistler with all the traffic and checkpoints. Cheers

 Re: [OT] Snowmageddon
Those opening ceremonies were spectacular. I dont see a way that you could of encompassed Canada in a better way.
My only word of advice would be it should have been a hologram of Terry Fox running up to the BC place cauldron, while wayne gretzky ran to the English Bay cauldron

Daala enjoyed the mountain scene. Of course the beginning was also a sight to see with the 4 Tribes. Overall, I really enjoyed it. Let the games begin...

 Re: [OT] Snowmageddon
Absolute heartbreak for our girl, hitting twice off that corner.... I seriously almost cried when she said she let the whole of Canada down. But that is the pressure.... I for one am sick and tired of hearing the announcers ask if they are upset that they got silver, as though they weren't just second best in the world. Oh, and Thrawn I'm comin over on tuesday, the girl and I figured we should come over and enjoy the experience. We have places to stay, so why not.

Even getting a 5th, 6th, 7th... place is good in my books. So much pressure is put on the athletes, I'm surprised some of them don't go postal. Hope you guys have a good experience. It's busy on the streets in most places, and I've never seen so many people in Vancouver like there is now. Guess that's why I choose to live in the valley But you two should have a good time. Enjoy your visit. Congrats to England- female skeleton for winning Gold Cheers
