Dude, how likely is it that would ever buy it? Not. If you dont have it by now you probably would never buy it anyway. Its not like anything they do would ever make you a paying customer, not some one who is still using an eval version of zoc lol

SWATH's authentication is a pain, but I have been usinig it for about 5 years I think after paying a whole $26 for it (less than 2 large pizzas - make it 3 large and a bottle of Mt Dew and you have the cost of SWATH & TWX added back then). If they go out of business and I lose the use of the software, I've still got more than my money's worth from it.

Hopefully, if SWATH ever goes down, the source will be released as TWX was, but then the telnet source is probably worth more than $26.

If you'd bother to read before you post, you'd see where I said I bought codes to Zoc. How likely would I be to buy Swath? Pretty likely if they ever fix a few bugs and submit a version that doesn't require me going thru thier server to use it.

I did read it. You have codes NOW, how many years did you play without them? D says "I've used it for years and I felt enclined to purchase it." Anyone too cheap to pay 26 bucks SWATH aint likely to ever pay for it. whatever changes are made. Thats just my opinion.

It's not the $26. It's the principle of the thing. There are a lot better ways to stop software piracy besides making somone go to a server to authenticate it every time they use it. There are several ways this can be done.

1) Do like MicroSoft and make them go 1 time to authenticate it like MS Office does.
2) Send the software on a CD and require the CD to be present to run the program.
3) Send out key codes and hope for no crack. JP doesn't seem to have a problem.

None of the above is fool proof, but yet if the company goes belly up, then the software is at least still usable.
