Any way to bypass the BBS and go straight to the TWGS?

I don't think so. If I make it available for direct telnet then you won't be able to access it from the BBS. That would be counterproductive. :-\ I'm hoping I can build up some semblance of a community on the board, too.

um... I dont see ANY tradewars game...

Upon creating an account I'm automatically put into some Text game that I've never heard of - that I don't want to play...

No options for 'other games' - no options for 'contact staff / admin'...

If you don't reply here I just dont see myself going back to that site.

What's the point of having a bbs these days, anyway?

Some of us old BBS SysOps just won't die off yet Still run ours after many many years.

BBS's are (in my opinion) a simpler method of housing a community forum; just like this classicTW.com site (only they chose to use PHPbb - like I did for my own guild website; probably for the massive amounts of support available)

There is a market for everything out there...


If I could remember the names of those old turn based games I used to like I'd want to log into a BBS and play them - even now...


hmmm one was a nuclear war game between the USA and Soviet union - each turn was either to launch a nuke - intercept a nuke - or send a spy to sabotage the enemy.. enjoyable game...

I remember a few others that were good -- none AS good as tradewars though.
