Why I can only guess .. because the original tradewars server didn't have a setting
but was always on.
So I don't understand why J.P. would add it and then set it to default other then
the way it worked originally.

Anyways .. change it to On and everyone will be happy'er

btw , it is a local setting .. so each game will have to be changed.

Hey all sorry about the lateness in my response time work has been ridiculous, my boss has been on vacation so I've been doing double duties and double time.

Anyway.

The games that have been running look pretty close to being wrapped up. So I with that being said I will schedule a server-wide rebang this Friday the 24th at 4PM CST.

I will be running the same edits. However, I'll probably add a few more games with truces on the more popular edits.

Thank you all for your feedback on how to make the server better, and the changes everyone has reccomended will be implented on the next bang. I really appreciate the turnout I've had on the server thus far in spite of the dislike for the game configurations. As always, my door is open for anymore suggestions that anyone may have. Please post to this forum with those suggestions. Hope to see you all soon!

Seems kind of excessive to move the 1st post about the bang to smack, how about moving it back, otherwise whats the point of the thread, there is no rebang info

For one, I don't have access to smack talk to move it back. Secondly, I wanted to move the entire thread to smack talk, but missed 1 post so it reamained in the old topic. Thirdly, if you people don't wan't the thread moved to smack talk, keep everything civil and it will stay in games rebangs where it's supposed to be. The only person it hurts when you guys spout off in a legitimate game rebang thread is the sysop that posts it. Altho, if 1 person continues to post crap and have threads moved, they will be moderated.

I went over to smack-talk and re-read the thread, but I don't see much smack talk in there. To me, it reads like a thread about a rebang that developed into a discussion about server configuration and truce rules. Maybe the odd comment was inserted by this or that person that wasn't strictly on-topic, but I don't think you can feasibly keep everything absolutely 100% on topic... there will always be some overlap... But, you're the moderator...

The game rebangs forum is for exactly that, "Game Rebangs". A small amount of discussion will be allowed possibly concerning that particular servers performance, specific game or server settings, games that need banged, etc., but if you want to discuss off topics, or complain, take it to open discussion or smack talk. It's not that hard to start a new topic in another forum. This is the last I want to hear about this. Move it to another forum or I will.

Well if anyone knows me they know my suggestion. No more servers with X games all with unlimited turns. Seriously what is the point? Meh it gets old. There are 0, i count 0 rebangs of ANY turn games in the last 3 days on stardock twgs search. Ridiculous.
