just as a reminder.. defensive figs dont offer much of a protection

and define bug usage, many dont consider alien planet farming as a bug...you know aliens land and load planet for you then you warp it out....

Ideally Planet IG would be best with no Sector cannons. I would suggest offensive planet figs in case someone lands.

If you decide to take a Gold Bubble (there will be more this time, I swears), make sure you *can* guard the door and have enough resources. it's fair game if someone makes a base in a DE in your gold bubble --any bubble-- in my expereince the best strat is to hide immediately before Truce ends and take a gold bubble later ...Less head aches this way.

Put another way: do not #Ship Destroy# anyone. People will goad you as 'Truce-Tactics' has become a major attractor to the game in general.

I realize Alien Farming is a very popular aspect to the game. As long as Aliens are present these 'tactics' are impossible to stop and difficult to monitor. People have stated that a Bug is any reaction to any action in the game that would otherwise be impossible to do –i.e.: filling a planet with millions of units of Product in only a few minutes. The argument could be made that since the game itself has not been updated or fixed in many years, these Alien-characteristics could now be considered part of the game. My initial thought was to prevent Alien bug use ‘During Truce’, as this is where -invariably- people accidentally get Ship Destroyed. So, unless a majority of people disagree I would say that, during Truce:

Automated-Alien-Ship-Farming is not allowed

The only problem with planet IG on in a door..

if the owner is not at keys.. you can sit and drain a planet dry of ore.
of course, the "invader" might say I didnt have ship to xport to etc etc etc. Which might be true.

usually, and only in my opinion, cannons are a good idea for the door.
its the scripters fault for running into it anyway, if its a legitimate base.

and of course, next time, they will probably avoid that sector.

agreed on the bubble door thing, ESTABLISHED BASE should be defended truce or not, by established i mean mines planets and why not a beacon, only way i violate a truce intentionally is i will have cannons on if possible to my door, truce or not, not my problem if they are away from keys running tsst or wssm or whatever, cannons dont take their money, dont sd them, but they do get their attention and if theu come back after the first initial contact with the cannon well its kinda intentional, cause it would have been automatically voided

and as far as the alien farming or alien planet loading BUG, most would consider it unethical and dont do it, but we all know this is 1 specific corp that HAS to do it to survive in the game
