 Fighit desynch disconnects

Prom and LS,

I know of two scripts that cause that to happen, in my experience, turbosst and rammar's unfigged gridder. I know LS's YourIt can cause it as well but I dont use it as a regridder.

Now I have used YourIt to kill people. I use rammar's unfigged gridder and turbosst in nearly every unlimited. I see the disconnects mostly with the gridder.

Is it possible that I am totally wrong and in every case, someone was using the tagger and taking us both offline?

Well known bug in TW, JP has yet to do anything about it. Easiest solution... kill the gridder.

I do know of someone that has figured out how to utilize that Bug to stop people from cashing non-stop 24/7 --during a Truce. But this is not new. There was a time when, during a Truce, you could surround a Class-0, with Limps and follow a Casher and 'Cover the Port' which stops a the Turbo SST Script that comes with TWX.

The only real problem here is, when you do get booted from the game it's to the Server Games Menu, so a Relog usualy doesn't occur. Would be easy to make a montior type script that would get you back into the game. In general, I think it's unrealistic to load up a cashing script and goto work and return home and find that it's still runing.

Monitor scripts already exist. I wrote one for turboSST a long time ago, handles relogs, ship changes, getting torped, getting powered-up on, etc. Was an easy workaround for this bug. The covered port bug is easy to fix.

Still, just goes to show that truces are nonsense. If someone tries to follow you... turn around and plaster them.

Yes the gent he is refering to nailed it, and unfortunately did so when I was in a game against him. ANY time I started cashing I was knocked offline, was truly a pain..
