There's a script I've seen running that captures alien ships in a subzero edit for cashing. Anyone ever hear about this?

Couldn't find it on grimytrader, anyone know where I could find something like this?

Yes, there are a few private versions out there. I know of none in the public domain.

Ahh, gotcha. So I would have to figure out who made the scripts and ask them if they would mind sharing.

Thanks for your reply.

Nobody that's using it right now. I remember corping with someone before I quit last time that used it. I'm in an unlim subzero right now and am outnumbered 3 to 1 after my red corpie bailed on me so I was just looking for a way to cash other than ptrade.

Yeh. Shipcaps like that are very easily beaten tho, so be careful. If ISPs are on, they need only drop a limpet in the alien sector, plock it and wait for the limpet tag.

There are a few ppl w/ alien casher scripts out there. Odds are it was written by 1 of a half dozen ppl, so you shouldn't have any trouble tracking it back.

Well, the one I saw used an enterra and a planet. Was pretty much a pdrop and citkiller, except it targets alien ships and attacks with 1 fig repeatedly using the planetary defense odds until it's abandoned. Dunno if that's as easily killable. I'm still getting into the swing of things.

Most of the time the cap scripts pop a corp planet in the sector if none exists (sometimes has a sector number for its name). Using a pdrop is a good way to lose shields/figs from the planet if the alien decides to land (and you can't block it from landing by just being there). The cap script fires enough figs on the first burst to kill the aliens shields and then goes to the 1 fig hit to get the alien to burn figs against the defender bonus.

A good cap script takes a while to write with a lot of variables (what if there already a planet in sector? Is it mine?; how many alien ships in the sector - would I lose?, what about traders and their empty ships? and more...).

Yeah, I've got no idea how it worked, I just knew that it worked well.

I have one.
If I can find it I will post it at Grimy's since I no longer play.

It checks what ship is in the sector, if you can win, will create a planet in the sector, attack untill shields are gone, then will use 1 fig till caught, if need to refig, has option to go home, class 0 or terra.

Also has a partner script. You run it and when you have a bunch of those ships in space, it will tow them all to dock and sell them.

See what I can do.

I believe Zarkahn has a full featured version of what you are looking for. I pretty sure it's not a public release tho.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the one I saw in action was Sings script, though. The people I was playing with that were using it seemed to talk a lot about him.

meh everyone talks about sing, dunno if they are using his scipt though. Zarks isnt public, a handfull of people have it though. Like others have said a 1/2 dozen or so have made them, not real hard to to.... if you know how to script that is, the rest of us do it with macro's or by hand.
