You're entering the script war zone, you can't compete unless you learn how to make mods yourself. True, but I never colonize AFK. So I can always see if someone else is undercutting my setting and either adjust to an even lower setting, or stop until that person leaves.

RajuAbju wrote: Kaus, as an FYI, your version gives the same error as well. Not sure why I'll have to revisit the script at somepoint when I have more time for TW. RajuAbju wrote: Also, this script does "almost" what I want, but not exactly. In reality, what I'd love to see if for your TerraFarmer script to be modified so that the 'aggressive' mode has a sub-option to pick up a specified number of collies on each landing (vs landing and taking off every second until enough collies have regened that it picks them all up in 1 shot) at terra until holds are full, then going and repeating the cycle. TerraFarmer is awesome because of the options and versatility it has, and its just missing this 1 little feature for me, or it would be the perfect colonizing script I'm not following what it is your looking for? Is it cause this functionality isnt in Terra Farmer or is it that the above script is missing something you wanted it to do? As a side note I am rewriting Terra Farmer at some point in the near future. Unfortunatly as it is school leaves very little time for anything but studying.

As a side note I am rewriting Terra Farmer at some point in the near future. Unfortunatly as it is school leaves very little time for anything but studying. Lets say you're at terra and you want colos, but there's no colos there. So what do you do? Well you land, lift, land, lift, land, lift, etc... right? Wait for the cols to materialize, then pick them up, go home, repeat. That's great when nobody is at terra to compete with you, but what if someone else comes along and does the same? At that point it's a ping war, and odds are if you're on colo duty you're probably not Mr CoolPing. So what can you do? Cheat a bit. Instead of collecting at 150, collect at 75. That adds one extra turn for the effort, but insures you get all the cols before your competition does. So what does the competition do? Cut it down further, collect at 50. If they can't, if they're still trying to collect at 150, they aren't going to get very many cols. So a bidding war begins. "I'll bid 3 turns for that load of cols!" "No I'll bid 5!" and it becomes a competition to the smallest number of cols possible. This also means that corps desperate for cols can sacrifice their grid turns for them, while corps w/ large colo reserves can cut back and use planet growth. Enter lots of other various concerns that accompany this tactic. So the ability to set a collection level is pretty important. An adaptive level is even better, since it can automatically adjust up and down, of course that adds a lot of other counter-tactics to the mix too.

I get that, his original request war for user specified hold ratio. The aggressive subroutine in the original Terra Farmer was never finished. (i.e. didn't allow for a bidwar) If hes looking for more of a routine like you have posted Sing it will be present in the next Terra Farmer Revision along with a host of other options I have slated for it.
