Unread post "Maximized" problem in Swath....
I don't really know "how" this happened but, my copy of Swath somehow did this..... its "stuck" in the maximized position and when i try to click on the (upper right) middle icon (of the three), it doesn't "Restore down" like its supposed to do, it just goes to the taskbar.... then all you can do with it from the the taskbar is maximize it again, very frustrating. I'm running this on my laptop with an 18 inch screen, and I have a Samsung 24 inch that is also hooked up to the laptop, NOW... I use the 24 inch screen for gaming apps and the laptop screen for regular stuff like the internet and business apps, so I can run this stuff simultaneously. Swath didnt start this "only opening in Maximized" till I got the extra monitor and hooked it to the laptop. I've uninstalled Swath, and re-installed it, but it STILL does the same thing.... I've done a little research about people having this problem with other programs, and it seems that it is a registry problem, because Swath is the only program that does this........ and I dont want to mess around with the registry, unless I know for sure that, thats what it is. Since we have a lot of "coders" here and guys that may just know what is wrong, I'm hoping its a "setting" that I may have switched by mistake (even though I've looked, and can't see anything that has to do with this) I'm hoping someone has the solution. Thanks in advance

If you right-click the button on the task bar, and select Restore, it should no longer be maximized. If it still looks like it is maximized, see if you can go to the top-rightcorner of the screen and get the repositioning arrow. If so, you should be able to drag and drop the corner of the window to resize it.

That'll be $50 if it works.

Nope that doesnt work, when I do that it just goes to the taskbar, as I described in the first post.... Hope this gets seen by Stein, or Mac (the guys that made the program).... Maybe they know whats going on, but EP, if that had worked, i'd gladly pay up! lol!

For kicks, you could try running it in compatiblity mode. You actually have to do this to a shortcut, not the swath.exe file itself. So create a shortcut on your desktop, goto the properties of the shortcut and play with some of the choices under the Compatibility tab.

Might try right clicking on the SWATH icon, going to properties and see if you have "Maximized" in the run window. If you do change it to "Normal window" and see what happens. Just a shot in the dark.

You can remove the stored window position by launching regedit and deleting the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SWATH\SWATH\WindowPos

And to Zarkahn, you can run Rexx/ZOC/Rev stuff in SWATH too ;)

when you hit 'restore' and it went to just the task bar, the window is actually open, but outside of the screen boundaries. the way to solve this is to right-click on the task bar entry and choose 'move', then use your arrow keys to bring the window inside the screen. i only recently discovered this solution; i hope someone else finds it useful.

another way to do it is to maximize the app, and make sure its the only window open. then right-click the task bar and choose one of the 'tile windows' options. this will cause your app to be resized to full screen, but not maximized.
