We need a new and unused DM edit and a sysop to host it.. Something balanced where speed, cashing ability and gridding make the difference between life and death.

I would prefer a 3 pods and you're out type of the game rather than game over after the first podding. To win some one has to be #SD#, not just podded. 5-10k sectors, no aliens or new player planets.

What can you do for us. I'd like to suggest that you keep the specs to yourself until the kickoff and change some of them before each game so as to not give an unfair advantage to players that may have previously played it. (this is assuming it is used for more than one game.)

It would be nice to set up an 8 or 16 slot ladder DM tourney. Quick, fast, and over on the same night.

dont you remember this happening before? The second round of games never got played. I dont know if it was because people didnt want to play it again or the edits were messed up, it was a subz with out aliens only there was some aliens that were "froze" There was also some dm's that lasted more then one night. I belive mine lasted 10 to 15 mins. some were games were faster, some games were slower. I do belive that would be a good Idea though. If you want the sysop to make the edit then thats fine. Id guess one of them would host, making the edit should be easy enough, with no planets, 2 ships and 5-10k sectors, although i think 5k is enough. Maybe this will keep going and actually happen.

Oh and you can count me in to play. I can help any other way also.

I can do it but not until this coming weekend. If Prom can do it 1st, might be best. I'll be in Virginia Beach until Friday or so.

Thats why I asked if D or Prom could come up with an edit. A person should probably stay out of a dm if they need a planet to play it or have a chance to win.

Im leaning to not having a planet, youd have to cash, a little, maybe start with 1mil. But I dont care Ill play either way. If you need anything Rev let me know. Id be glad to help. Should we start a list of players, have a sign up for those who havent said yea or nea. Lets get a few more details ironed out so we can post at other boards and try to draw a bigger group.
