I've banged low (950), medium (3k) turns and unlims on my server and the low turns games just don't have a lot of players and that is what I've also seen on the majority of the servers around. Part of the problem I think is the lack of dedicated corps that are out and since low turns need a coordinated effort of somewhat skilled, patient players, that leaves the majority of players/corps out. I don't play turn based games below about 20k turns so I may be way off base. I agree with you. Unlimited games draw the newer players and the players that want the wham bam thank you maam effect, medium turn games (2k to 5k) draw established corps and later veterans, less than 1k seem to draw no one. Stock games especially flop. I've banged stock games with 1k turns or less and advertised it 2 weeks in advance and had maybe 1 player show up. I do the same thing with a medium turn or high turn game with a popular edit, and 10 or 12 players show up. |

SG and i are agreeing to disagree about the intentions of RP in BOTE. i don't feel the sting quite as accutely as SG so i understand his perspective. i just hope that in his zeal to keep everyone aware of RP's mistakes he doesn't damage the already fragile state of this game that we all love. Sorry for hijacking this thread. Since I'm the main game op at MTW now.. I can boot one of the games not played and put up whatever edit/settings u want... Btw...
