 Dnyarri's Public Unlimited Gridder
Ending the gridder script monopoly by releasing this public version of my private gridder. It has all of the feature you need in an unlim gridder without a lot of confusing options. Has a full text file that explains how everything works. I'm sure bugs will be discovered, please report them by getting a full copy/paste and sending it to the info in the file. Re: Dnyarri's Public Unlimited Gridder
Let me be the frist to say thanks! I've been trying to finish my own gridder (currently on attempt 3), for a while now.. so many options so little time. Btw. found a bug: I renamed the dny_public_ugridder.CTS to dny_public_ugridder.TS, opened it in my CONTEXT Editor and got a lot of garbled characters

Hahaha yea, this one's going to stay a little more private than usual. Take a look at the bot options tho, if you end up building a mombot plugin pass it on and I'll put it in the zip.

 Re: Dnyarri's Public Unlimited Gridder
Thanks, as always. The only thing missing is being able to set the number of grid cycles though I guess you could limit the amount of cash on the base planet to basically control the number of grid cycles.
I really mean thank you!

Maybe this will lead the way for better offensive scripts??

If you're looking for that super secret script: "Set controls to KILL!!" .. walk away, get a coffee have a snack watch an episode of Friends, come back everyone's Ship Destroyed; I think you'll find that it really doesn't exist. There's lots of great offensive scripts out there already, just gotta learn how to, ahem, set the controls

 Re: Dnyarri's Public Unlimited Gridder
WHAT? There go all my dreams...I minus well grow a beard, change my name to ooga booga, and move to a cave. Thanks LONESTAR! Pssst...BTW we aren't dumb over here, we all know you have that script or how would you know the name to it? HA! **Edit** Point -- Gridding scripts public/private have been an important part of game play. We know of a couple that are tougher then others to hit (not impossible but tough). When we have a script release like this gridder which Ive used and works great it ups game play for some. So now we have to possibly come up with different ways to do things, thats all. The more things that cause people to be more competative, the more the game will evolve..IMO

 Re: Dnyarri's Public Unlimited Gridder
I am having trouble with it. I can't seem to get it to drop armids while gridding. Seems to do limps just fine

Is it dropping them in the jump sec, hit sec, neither or both? Do you have the armids setting greater than 0, do you have drop stuff in hitsec turned on? Do you have armids to drop, or restock turned on and enough cash? Double check your settings and stuff, then if you can get a paste ICQ it to me along with your menu settings. Thanks

 Re: Dnyarri's Public Unlimited Gridder
And it is dropping them in the hit sec but not in the jump point or...?? Do you have a paste of the behavior? Helps if I can see it in action.

 Re: Dnyarri's Public Unlimited Gridder
Its dropping them in the jump sector (limps and 1 fig) and not even going into the hit sector. I thought maybe it was TWX so I killed it, removed the variable strings from the .cfg file and started fresh. No love. I happen to be running mombot at the same time, if that matters.

It's dropping armids, limps and figs in the jp but not going to the hit sector? That's what it's supposed to do. Until the jump point is clear (has armids and limps), it's not safe to move forward. That's what distinguishes an unlim gridder from a normal turns gridder, careful handling of jump points. The goal is to build a massive grid that has limpets, armids and figs in every sector.

I mis-understood, thanks for clarifying it for me.
