heh,
well I stilll use rev's... not that others aren't as good, but mainly for the report files that rev's cim produces.. I've got a couple TWX scripts I wrote just to work with some of his files, for ease of use in other twx scripts.
I just wish Zoc would notice another ztm running like TWX does, cuase I played with CK's old ZTM and the fact zoc/Rev's stuff didn't see it, I went back to Rev's.
But never seen one with more accuracy. Never got a complaint from any corp I gave warpspec too.. but I do know for a fact that Swaths ZTM is no where near as good, just by comparing warp specs I run vs others that ran Swath's.
Heh nce to see Rev's intrest peaked again...
Guess I could try to write a cim to give me the text files in twx like rev's does, I mean I played with the port pairs and stuff for reports, but the Rev has em organized... I love his CIm.

You do realize that TWX already has the ability to output it's warpspec, right? It's in the data submenu. =)

yea, it can output it.. well what ur DB has seen, but it doesn't write a file.
I meant as far as other more complicated reports.
I got a Datamine for most stuff.. but not bubbles, and haven't added the port pairs option yet, although I do have a sperate script for it.
The datamine does alot, but is sloppy, as is most my coding.
and until I get around to finishing it, it will stay private. Back when I think Big D requested one, made me write it, but it makes a few txt files for diferent reports ( more HD sapace...laff ).
But the thing is.. u can just use the files it makes in other scripts public or private. heh if used right it can make Rammrs Twarp gridder pretty safe.. note... if Rammr's is set up RIGHT... and u use the right file to grid with...
I use rev's for bubbles and a TWX script to use those files.

i think he's talking about the other reports. pmap2.exe creates a mess of reports based on cim/ztm/fighits/figlist/etc. its all pretty handy but i got to the point where i didn't really use the reports so much. if i get back into tw again i'd want to make a database.

TWX proxy can write the DB data to a file that resembles warpspec. You can then import that into rev's stuff I believe. You can also import warpspec from rev's stuff into TWXproxy... so I'm not entirely sure of the issue. It can do whatever level of datamining you want if you write a script to output the results.

Ram's is always vulnernable to torping, so it's only "safe" in an unlim if you're single hopping and using a limpet filter to filter out hitsecs with a bad JP.

I use "distance from terra" and "distance from figs" as my most common criteria. If you're always gridding furthest distance from figs you'll naturally find a lot of stuff like enemy bubbles and ports. Altho occasionally ppl get smart enough to build adj to your figs... that ends up being cheaper to solve during a good grid run than if they hadn't.

Ah. There's a lot of ways you can use that kind of data, but as soon as you start thinking about them you realize another half-dozen ways to use it. A database with dynamic reporting ability would be the way to go, so you can call up those wierd 3am "I need fig hits in dead ends within 5 hops of a low traffic SXS port that has been visited since the last lunar cycle" kind of reports that always seem to have exactly 1 use for 1 game that'll promptly be rebanged the next week.
