newby sysop type question..imports

gang.. if i DL game edits, ie. subzero, from a site... and in contains .txt files... what do I DO with them?
do they go in a certiain DIR ?
pls advise..

Hello there and WELCOME to Tradewars.
There is a specific file structure to the twgs software.
TWGS
DATABASE
DESCFILE (this is were you will want to place files that contain data you will want your players to have access to beyond regular game data.)
GAME (when you make a new game entry the software makes a new folder for it, TW1, TW2, ect...)
ANSI (here is were graphic and txt files are placed, these are the files players see in the game.)
GOLD ( these files are not found if you do not have a gold vers. of tradewars.)
TW1 this is game a
TW2 this is game b
TW3 this is game c
ETC...

Wish I saw you post a few months ago LOL
Nice explination of what the structure is.
Might I also add that if you use a custom ANSI menu, that it must be located in the main TWGS folder. Even though can poin the game config anywhere, it only works from this directory. This one drove me nuts when I first started MTW.
