This may be better off somewhere else but since its script related I figured I'd ask here.
Which package or server package from eis would support a single user or a couple local clones for script testing would a individual benefit from buying? I do not have th eneed for 100nodes and I dont know the differance from tw2002 and twgs. (i.e. I don't feel like spending 60$ for a gold/2002/twgs package if i don't need to)

the basic would work, I think there is a 4 node basic, maybe a trial or something, i will look into it for you. And if anyone else is looking at this thread give some input too.

TWGS is the front end, tw2002 is the backend game. You need both, but you don't need the 100 node license if you aren't using 100 nodes.

Does a user need gold codes to edit planet population/cits/terra pop. I'm thinking the 4 node/tw2002 should suffice to test scripts on. But i would like to have my assumption confirmed.

Go for the TW2002 Gold + TWGS 100 node with all the goodies. You'll be happy you did.
Plus it's Cheaper with the Bundle.
If you already own TW2002 Codes then all you need is 4 Node for Testing.
At one Point you will want to upgrade though.
So Go for it ALL!

Yes you'll need gold codes to do edits.

With the birthday coming up I am buying the full server package. Thanks for all the suggestions.
