Im playing around on a server thats screwing me up. We are unable to use the " : " key to delete all messages. Along with this.. even bots wont work. For example, mombot, I start it up.. it starts initalizing..goes thru the ship lists and then this error "Script run-time error in '__MOM_BOT3_0954.TS': '$1000' is not a decimal number, line 418"

Im sure MD and crew can look at this one.. but does anyone know of any twgs setting that will turn off the ability for traders to use such 'hot keys" as " :" ???

running TWGS Ver# 3.11.55 Gold running under Sockets.

That would be a data file corruption problem not a tedit setting.  A lot of times the game will lock up instead, so it's surprising you are even able to log in.  The sysop can try deleting the mail.dat file, but sometimes that won't even help.  If it doesn't, he'll need to delete the game file directory and re-import the game into that spot.

I'd highly recommend rebanging everything.  Even if nothing "seems" to be wrong with some games after the upgrade, it's better to just restart all and have the players know it's a fresh start than spend more time on a game that could be a timebomb waiting to fall apart at any moment.

Heyy I'm on that server too    and it's an older twgs. had to pull out my older bot.
Muss. load up the older Bot, if you have it.. run it and get the error.. then go into the CFG file of that game and remove all the $ (dollar signs) from the item cost lines and restart the bot.. you'll be golden.
the $1000... thing is an indication of the age of the server. as well as not being able to use : cmd. and as for the new MOM bot, it  uses the #145 thingy for prompt sync'n ..which dosn't work on that server.
Take 2 Beta Blockers and call me in the morning
