You evidently don't see the problem.  I do believe that every sysop has advertised their servers, and forums in threads in game rebangs, general discussion, smack talk, and every other forum on numerous occasions.  Why is this all of a sudden an issue?   I think Sage posted 7 or 8 links in his posts along with all of his many personal accompishments.

That's fine.  I wasn't worried one way or the other.  I just wish you would not take this other forum as a threat to this one.  This forum has it's purpuse just like the new one will.  Plus it never hurts to have a back up forum in case something happens with this one.  You'll have to admit there are a of things going on here lately, making the community wonder what the "H" is going on.  Lot of changes I mean.  I hope you can get things straightened out.  Just hope it's not too late.  Regardless it's going to be a battle on your part and won't be an easy chore to accomplish.  I meant nothing by the link I posted, and I'm sorry if it offended you or made you uneasy.

You da boss, but maybe you should be asking what the users want as it is related to TW2002. What place does smack talk have on the "Official EIS Forums" anyway? Maybe if there is no smack talk forum everyone could get back to asking and answering questions about the game...

Same questions, same answers. Trouble is the answers do not come from anyone but the players as there appears to be no EIS "official" person for that purpose. Check the forums for responses to questions and you will see it is the community, and not EIS that responds.

The users/community have responded to several issues regading the site; however their concerns are usually met with "there is a reason for it". This has to be a sweet deal - no paying to provide a support team for the game as the players do that, and rules/changes to the official site are made w/o regard to their input.

I say nuke the site, put up a Microsoft type knowledge base and eliminate the forums. Oh wait, that means someone has to create a knowledge base and there are already people who provide the information for free.

Okay I am going to restore Smack Talk when I get the okay from JP on that, I had to make a decision on that on the spot cause I didn't get a reply from JP on the subject of the Smack Talk, cause EIS was being threatened of having the "Official" removed from the site, I normally do not make decisions like that lightly, and usually do discuss it with staff, but it was an emergency and needed to do something fast to help keep things calm on the front for JP, I know he has had a lot on his plate and didn't need to be drug into this.

I may reinstate it anyway, very soon, but there is only one stipulation on this, No Smack Talk will be leaked out into the regular forums, or the help forums, especially them. It will stay in Smack Talk. This is not negotiable, or Smack Talk will be wiped all together.
