I'm not going to post here unless it involves The TW Players Union, but I ths sort of caught my attention.  The "Official' name came because JP said he would allow this forum to represent EIS as long as EIS themselves didn't have a forum.   EIS/Sylien will have a forum for TWT, and I'm sure that will be the Official EIS forum eventually.  So that leave all other forums including this one as "Fan Sites"  NOT "Official"  Even the new one we are working on WON'T carry the "Official" title.
Another topic is this forum.    2 to 3 second page loading for people with high speed connections is not normal or acceptable.  Code being displayed at the top of each thread is NOT normail.  The search feature bugging out is NOT normal.   Having every other word you type become *****  and * is just rediculous.

Well I know for sure that JP was talking about an official site for classictw(tw2002, twg I might miss some or a lot but you get the point). That's how we understand it at sylien. Not merging or closing this site means the official site wont be the SGC but it will be the official one for TWT.
I hope this help clearing that matter a bit more

As for the rest I agree.

its official because its put out by the company who makes the program...its also official because of the forum link on the main eis website.

I'm not saying this won't be the "Official" TW classic site.  It probably will be until there are no users or it completely crashes.  But TWT is the new game and probably the future of TW2002.  That means EIS and Sylien's interest will be in the new game.  That leaves TW classic for the fans.  So basically this and all forums promoting TW classic will be fan sites.
That is what we want to do, create a fan site for TW Classic.

When and if the "Official" site is moved/updated JP will ask me (or tell me) if he would like to retain my services......
personally im about over being a mod...I started as a mod here to protect free speech and created/rev ived a smack talk forum that was non existent before.

I wish your new forum great success....I hope it becomes the biggest forum in the united states..It could do nothing but help the game i love to play .

I do not wish you success at the expense of this forum.
You shouldnt wish the EIS Forums to be empty or go away on your new venture with your new forums.
Just be nice  go have fun...Dont try to benfit by trying to bring about the Demise of EIS forums....

JP has given this site to Earth and Vulcan. This is my understanding from the ICQ's I saw. Mike doesnt have time to fix it. Earth has no interest. We are working with the Owners of the Tradewars Franciase to create a Premiere Web site to promote the Classic version of the game which is of benifit to this community and the New owners of the francaise. What is so hard to understand?

Last I checked earth owns the domain (?) and vulcan owns the host (?)
JP (the owner of twgs) doesn't have * to do with this site, other than what we give him.
The last I checked, that means this is about as official as WE make it.
