 Oke I'll make an official Sylien Statment.
I'm the CIO after all. As of 14/04/2007 I Vadis CIO at sylien do the following statment : http://www.classictw.com WILL NEVER REDIRECT TO ANY TWT SITE. THE SYLIEN COMMUNITY FORUM AND THE OLD CLASSICTW WILL STAY SEPARATE. THE ONLY LINK THAT MIGHT EXIST IN THE FUTURE IS AN IMAGE/LINK TO GO TO THE SGC FROM THIS SITE BECAUSE THE SAME ONE WILL EXIST IN THE OPPOSIT DIRECTION. end of statment. As a french speaking person as first language I'll make sure correction are made to it and dated if necessary. I'm pissed to read what I read on teh forum comming from people that don't know anything. You won't like my when I'm pissed anyone saying what will sylien do WONT GET IN ANY BETA BEFORE THE GAME IS RELEASED. You want to spit on sylien, JP, vulcan, and anyother guy, well I'm a hard admin with that kind of people. So you will ether accept it or don't bother comming in our forum. I allready have 1 player not seeing teh game cause of a post on the SGC that I deleted. You can comment that anyway you want. You want my bad side you get it. All hands that want to help us make the new tradewars are welcome. This post is intend to clear things up once and for all and not to attack anyone. I really dont know what the anomosity is about. I only asked a question about why a fan site is not run by fans? This forum was allowed to die..more than once if memory serves and not because of lack of interest by the users. Seems to me that a site owned and operated by a Group of fans might be a viable option for the community. I personally have nothing but the best wishes for the sylvian project. And I wish JP and Earth and the TWT staff all prosperity in there profit making endevours. However I do believe that their interests in produceing a fine game for the graphical peeps to play might put us in a position of being second fiddle so to speak. We the "Fans" of the classic game might be in a better position to promote the "Classic" game ourselfs as EIS has moved on to greener pastures. You are either interested in the game for itself as a fan OR you are interested in the game as a financial enterprise. Its sad you cant have it both ways but as we all know . Work comes before pleasure and hard choices sometimes must be made.

I'm not questionning what your are saying. But the mendat of sylien on tradewars is that : make a remake of the classic with the help of the community, make the SGC and classic community grow with the marketing of the new game.
At first while miss-informed we tough* this forum wasn't 'actif' when we saw* it was we decided to live it there that's what I'm replying for. As for you thread I wouldn't think it would be an issue as with more outsiders will come the more actif admins/mods will get on that forum. Now has who can manage it well, I can't say anything, I don't know everyone and the story... I allready have 1 player not seeing the game cause of a post on the SGC that I deleted. You can comment that anyway you want.

But when the forum dies, the redirect will die with it or be redirected elsewhere. Seem you are getting mad over nothing. We are are just a communtiy trying to keep a game alive that we've supported for many years. I'm not sure why that offends you. This forum will die and I for one will be ready for it. If anyone needs me, I'll be at the Nav Haz forum. I'll be monitoring it from now on instead of this one. Anyone interested in TW2002 should come over and create an account if you don't have one and we will talk about the future of TW2002 Classic without Big Brother watching. You all defended this forum and we listened. But I couldn't defend Sylien ? Right ? Is this what I'm reading or am I missunderstanding ?
Now I did read that : It really doesn't matter if we agree on this or not. We will be moving from this forum in four months regardless. TWT is supposed to open up by then. When this happens, mark my words, when you click on this: http://www.classictw.com It will direct you to the TWT forums available at that time. Well I'm just giving my answer and I don't think I should give up on the community that fast. Moomoo....this forum is in bad shape but not for lake of interest or intent. Please notice the amount of new registrations for the last 6 months. These are new or returning players looking for information. There is very little useful information here that is easy to get at for these peeps. However there is a wealthof information and "History" of the Classic game within. IF you know how to get at it. These new and returning players (some of whom may perfer a graphical game and would make a good initial player base for the new game) get here despite the fact that a Google search of "Free Oline Games" or "Free Online Space Games" etc etc have not a single mention of TWZ. Their are no "Welcome packages of free software posted here. No New or Returning Player Page even tho some fine people have taken their free time to produce these things for new "peeps" as we call them. There are no Sponsored Tournements or Other Event to promote the Game. No Metalinks to draw in search engine quirys from new peeps. No tshirts or coffee cups. No Tradewars Store. No contests for scripts. No Advertising Campaign to help pay for the site and "Player" events. I could go on for a while but someone with a excellent and thought out website such as yourself can see this for yourself i am sure.

Yes i do but when I propose to do anything I gut crusified again and again.
You have a pro web designer (and no the registration on SGC is not controled by me) willing to work for free FOR your community, I never played the game and I'm ready to listen and do stuff but i get crussified as Sylien do to. no matter how hard I try to help It gets in my face. It's not in my mendat to work to make this site any better but I'm still offering my pro help. You have been speaking outloud how you like the game and the community, If I can do anything about it let me know but please don't turn help down like that or nothing will never happen. Yes I'm a noob, yes I don't know you all, yes I didn't play game, tell me what web option you wnat and I'll code it before you know it. Tell me what color you want and I'll do it. If you are the community you say you would stand for it when bad news comes has when help come... I'm more sad than anything else. I believe and I might be wrong here but the impression that the player base might lose "control" of the HISTORY of the game is a big concern even tho the "fans" have never had control of it they percieved that they did in some way.

That's why I took the community idea to save everything somewhere and have it posted for everyone to see. How am i supposed to work on that for you guys when I see post speaking about this and that.
Before knowing anything I heard about that issued and I jump on it to say let's do it because ti seems you're missing so little help to do that kind of crutial work and I get turned down. I don't blame anyone in particular, I'm just sad that this communitie could be so much more not being a SYLIEN community but being the Classictw cummunity. What do they do with old classic cars ? They repaint it, rework it. OK When is the sylien login gonna work?
I posted earlier this week that I was having problems logging onto your site. I suggested if you can't even run your website correctly that Joe NoServer is gonna go elsewhere. I still stand by that statement and declare that you had better find a better billing solution, no wait you said you had no money for a better billing solution. Well take the money your spending on this one and get a solution that works. You're being taken advantage of and you're too clueless to admit or realize it. I will not support nor advertise this game positively until this issue is fixed. If that is not to your "wishes" then so be it. A little aside the topic but this issue will be fixed on monday one way or another. I've spent the afternoon of friday speaking with them. They have all the good info but we may think there script lag sometimes I don't know why and I don't know if it is that but anway yeah..
