TIDE is the BEST soap....I saw it on TV. Why the f*** would anyone tell you anything but what you wanted to hear when a dollar was at stake....get a clue. TW is for sale and/or "investors" are being wooed to put a dollar in a pocket or two. Some 10yr old code has no value. Due to lack of investment (in time and money) by those involved the "Goodwill" i.e. name of tradewars is of limited value. Therefore stimulating the "fans" to simulate interest to increase "percieved value and/or potiential of future value" is the only thing left to sell.
BTW how come when I "google" "Free online games" TWZ doesnt come up? Good job everyone on promoting this great game. Keep up the good work <sarcasm>

No gossip needed. A email campaign was started for the purpose by JP last year. And to clarify I dont have an issue with JP doeing with "HIS" assets as he sees fit. However the posts in this forum are the "property" of the TW fan base that supported and contributed to it. I would be happier if this forum were controlled by the "fans" and not a for profit entity. especially one that has only treated TW as a part time job and potiential money making enterprise. Has anyone from EIS promoted the game in resent memory? Has anyone from EIS promoted and offered as much as a T-shirt as a prize for a tourny? I could go on and on but why bother. You either get the point or you dont..

I don't understand why we as a group just don't start/move to another forum and that solve our problem. Surely enough of us better then mees can agree to something to benefit all of us. If enough leave, this place will dry up and die on its own.

Space Ghost is wrong cause this Forum has moved in the past and will agian. but WE as a community can stop ALL of that and start our Union. a Players Union. and move to a Fourm FOR the commuinty, BY the comminty, and GOVERNED by the community. the it should be. THIS so called fourm has gone down hill faster than a metor after the EARTH face lift. it time we do somthing about it. Find a REAL forum RAN by players. Like it was in the begining!!!

I'm done with trying to assure people in these forums that we arent leaving...Do what you think you must do...I will be here when you get back..The Forum Link on the http://www.eisonline.comEIS ONLINE.. I have nothing against any other forums...But i find the Paranoia around this subject somewhere between Funny and Frustrating.
If people want to get thier beliefs from Parrothead and GodZilla well then there is nothing JP or myself can tell them to change thier minds.
Vulcan Hosts this forum...FREE,,,JP would agree its Vulcans Baby/ responsibility at this point...
And im posative that IF there is a redirect from The Offical EIS ONLINE Web site..IF that were to happen at some point down the road..Im 100% sure that VULCAN would preserve our content.
A TON of effort was put into keeping the Previous Posts When we moved to Vulcans Server.....No one is Goona go thru all that trouble and then lose the posts...
Do me a favor Guys and tell me why you dont trust VULCAN who hosts this site FREE to PRESERVE our content in the event of a host change???

Well said! Also there has always been a lot of sites come and go . Big important sites to this community. This site has been consistent even though the trouble when we out grew the old forum. Are you people seriously saying lets all just up and move to a server I have only recently heard of? Trust years of history to it? When you type Trade Wars Forum or Trade Wars 2002 into google its EIS that comes up and therefor where new to the community people will find us. The regulars of this forum will have no trouble finding each other and regrouping should this site go down or get swallowed, though I don't see that happening. Whats the point? But how are the new people to find us?

Mainly because we haven't seen Vulcan post an opinion or make a statement of what his stand is on this topic.  He seems to be laying back trying to stay out of it, but that isn't reassuring us that this forum will and always will remain dedicated to the TW Classic game.  I mean I'm sure there is more money involved in promoting TWT.

Vulcan has personal issues right now, JP has posted several reassuring announcements.

Doubting Vulcan isn't the issue.  What is the issue is whether or not Sylien Entertainment would or not.  Vulcam may think he would be preserving the content by moving it to thier server.  We just don't know what Vulcan or earth are thinking, because they haven't said anything.  JP posted his intentions, but then again that thread isn't available to the normal users of this forum.
