I run the main server under windows XP but have a test server on Windows Vista, during my last game I had issues with edits that were made on the test server disappearing from the game when I moved it to the XP machine. Has anyone else had such problems?

Are these different versions of TWGS?  I had an issue with losing the global edits completely in a couple of games when I upgraded.

Both are TWGS 1.03 and to be more specific, I had a game I worked on using the test server and a made some planets and deleted a ship and added some ships, when I moved it all the planets were gone, the ship I deleted was back and the sips I added were gone.

Are you just moving the game folder? If so, try archiving each game and moving it instead.  This way all the files are moved instead of just the folder files.  Also archive your global setting too.  You can opt to not import the globals when you import it if you want, but the complete game settings are archived this way.

This a bit off topic regarding the TWGS, but we just added a new desktop and have had nothing but issues with Vista. System lockups straight out of the box and then the wireless was added and more issues. If I had my TWGS open, I think I would be waiting on SP1 to come out as we know it will.

Vista trys to keep the user from doing much of anything and the Apple commercial is correct in it prompting for permission to allow you to do much of anything.
